Just pulled our local search performance data and found something that rewrote my entire understanding of what local SEO services should deliver in 2026.

How customers find local businesses has splintered they discover you across AI summaries, map packs, voice queries, and zero-click results and many decide based on your GBP photos, reviews, and hours without ever visiting your website.

This means local SEO services that only optimize for traditional Google rankings are missing 40–60% of the actual local discovery journey. A business can rank first in Google organic results and still be completely invisible in AI Overviews, voice search, and map pack for the same local query.
