I can't eat dairy but butter is okay?
I realised I couldn't eat dairy a few years ago and transitioned from lactose-free to no dairy. But I've noticed that when butter is an ingredient in baked items like cookies, biscuits, cakes, and manufactured packaged goods, it's been okay? The only exception.
(I think fresh butter was also okay - in moderation, a swipe on a sandwich for example - a couple years ago but i haven't had it in a while so I'm not sure about it anymore because obviously intolerance is a mercurial beast.)
Is butter an interesting exception for anyone else, or does anyone know why?
