Each of the members best work?

Ive decided to post here for the first time i think. Ivw been a long time fan since nothing personal came out as its how atl got known here in the uk. Ive decided to do the next to impossible task of choosing 1 track to represent each members best work. If its not clear ive chosen 4 tracks that each display a certain members best work hopefully that's clear. So here goes:

Alex: the lead vocalist and guitarist

Often in a rock band the vocalist get the most attention as its the thing most people remember in music is the lyrics that helps people recognise them in the future. When deciding on which one works best for alexs skills as a vocalist I have to say its got to be SUCKERPUNCH. Why? It isn't my favourite in everyone's talking, but it specifically shows off alexs ability to push his voice for the chorus and also soften it for parts of the track like when he says 'let me get a witness' or when hes pushing his voice with 'dying of a suckerpunch'. It shows his skills with his voice and hes used it in every way here.

Jack: the lead guitarist

When i think of tracks that i love that show off jacks skill i will say sometimes you gotta look for the lovely melodies he makes in the track. Sometimes people may disagree it gets hidden but id say otherwise if you make sure you listen for it, it has to be backseat serenade. Why? Its the wonderful loop you hear over and over again and when you hit the chorus he absolutely rips! You can really tell hes pulling hard on those strings for me trying to not let them get hidden away zacks bass as the chorus is quite bassy but its simply wonderful for me. Yeah I am biased as it was the first track I fell in love with on it after finding out about them after hearing lost in stereo in public back in the day.

Zack: the bass guitarist

For me i love the bass guitar. My favorite track when I think of atl and specifically Zacks skills it has to be somewhere in neverland. I love its relatability and how becoming an adult isn't as fun as we all thought as kids. Its his bass riffs I never tire of the most here. I love how I can hear differences between the speed of the different parts allowing alexs vocals to come out more showing his ability to control the pace of the track. If you dont know the most important members of any band are the bassist and drummer as they are responsible for maintaining the beat ensuring everyone stays in sync. I hope this proves now looking back that dont panic is their best work still imo.

Finally my biased favourite member rian: the drummer!

Normally drummers are sorely forgotten about in music bust have as i previously mentioned a very important job. If theres not drums its like the soul of the track is gone. Why? For me im a bit of a drum nerd and yes i do know his typical drum kit he runs 😆. The track that shows him off? Its easily time bomb. Why? I love the drum fills he uses in great places that fit. He really does such a good job with sticking patterns on the symbols that oh man I never tire from hearing. To me it may be the lyrics I remember the most like most people but I love to pieces his ability to adapt his speeds and types of hits to best suit the changes in the track. So amazing and yeah of course im biased!

What are your thoughts? Am I wrong? If so what would you choose? Btw I decided to steer clear of the forever sessions versions and by consequence the originals of said tracks as i wanted to show off how they have developed over the years.

I want one - its more emotional than you think

Hello all land rover fans! I am making this post as not only suggestions of what to do next, but also as a place for a man to be emotionally vulnerable for once where he says the "quiet part out loud".

This post aims to capture photographically examples i found online of my dream car but also to emotionally encapture the reasons why im so damn passionate about these cars. If you want to read the stuff I normally tell people then that will be said first then the quiet vulnerable part after which im hoping to get support with here and encouragement to really find my car!

So when I answer the question "so why do you like land rovers so much?" They get told that it represents why I love my home country and why ill never leave it. The land rover changed the world in a modern sense after the war and most importantly saved the British economy. I also tell them it represents classlessness which i love as anyone can get out a landy and be proper. You can literally be anyone and do anything with one, that to me is true freedom. The landy represents what really matters in motoring, the car and the terrain, and of course the human with their hands on the wheel. Land rovers are arguably the best car ever made and excel at exactly what they intended to do. I can name so many car flops but theres not too many cars that have become iconic like this one and started a revolution.

Ok if thats the landy fan rant over and what people usually get told. Now this is the part where we get really personal and I speak out the vulnerable part I never tell anyone.

You can call me doc. Thats the nickname I have and people call me that. This car represents firstly a time long gone even in my own life despite me being in my mid 20s. It represents my unfulfilled promise and failure to not live up to the man Im meant to be as i still greave over my nans death to this day despite it being well over a decade now I still believe me as a 11/12 year old i didn't do enough to take care of her. I promised her as soon as I knew the name 'land rover' that when I could afford one i would get one. As I dont have one at all it still feels like I didnt fulfill that promise that I remember her saying to me as a kid "I can't wait to see you drive one. It suits you. One day im sure". I feel like when I get all excited when I see a landy on the road that im that kid again and that conversation replays in my mind and then im reminded of my failure.

I hope that makes sense. I've never had the time to greave my nans death as its always been about moving onto the next thing, that's my mums way of coping. I wish I had more time as a teen to mourn my loss and I wish I had emotionally supportive parents who would make sure I did things I enjoyed in order for me to grow as a man rather than like my mums way of thinking of distracting yourself and keeping busy at all times (even to this day she never stops) with hobbies and other bs. So i still feel like a puppet on strings at times as I still do things for others rather than for myself due to my grieving is keeping me trapped in the old way of thinking.

Sorry if this got dark I just needed to get it off my chest and hopefully find support here and encouragement to go after that pastel green or marine blue series 2 ive always wanted!

Could we open a land rover museum?

Id like to know the hypothetical question of if it were possible to open a land rover museum, how popular would it be and would people be willing to visit it from foreign countries on uk international trips? Just like the foreigners who come to see london, would they be willing to see a land rover museum if they knew how important the car really is to the uk?

So my plan.

Simply put id love to have a place to celebrate britians most versatile vehicle in its entirety. This includes a fantastic archive of information boards to read about the development of the car and its social situation at lead to its inception. I want to explain its importance to the rest of the world and how important it was to developing countries back in the day. Id like to show on TV screen the old adverts and videos that have been archived to give more info. Id also show off classic old adverts and brochures of the vehicle to teach the visitors of the stats and ability the vehicle had.

The show piece.

This would be a series 1 engine fully restored and fitted together in an exploded diagram design in 3d real life, joined together by small pieces of metal rods welded it together to show how the engine works using colour coding to show the fuel flow and how each part works in simple terminology to teach the visitors how combustion engines work using diagrams to explain as well of course. Possibly some touch screens to make it interactive too.

The museum layout.

Firstly walks through early design stages setting out design and why it was needed. Next show off an early model series 1 with the headlights behind the grill as I know we wouldn't get jue there. Then next would be the launch and videos etc and promo photos archived on display. Then next a standard series 1 on display showing its use cases on video and the examples history.

Then we would move onto why the series 2 was introduced and an examples on display of different chassis wheelbase lengths and different layouts such as the hard top or soft top etc also using the advert showing different setups.

I would find space for a barn find section to show off what most look like today and the importance of restoration and what it takes to do one etc. Id go on to show off the series 3, half ton, forward control etc etc to truly educate and celebrate our favorite vehicles history!

Anyone want to join me in this?

What is the album Michael (2010)?

Hello everyone! Can people please explain to me, those who know of it, why was the album Michael made after MJ passed away? What is its purpose?

It seems to me this album is a bunch of unfinished tracks made by MJ that other then contemporary artists then took those tracks and completed them with their own flare. Is this correct? If not what the heck is it? Any help would be appreciated as ive been a lifelong Micheal jackson fan and never really understood why this 2010 album was made.
