I was just in Florence after over a decade and noticed a specific woman that I swear I remember when I was last here. She is a beggar who sits on Via de’ Guicciardini near palazzo pitti. She is older with grey hair and thick black rimmed glasses and a sign. This last time and the time I was here long ago, she is sitting in the exact same spot every single day. And she does not appear to move a muscle. Even in her face. Does anyone know more about her? I assume most beggars in Florence are scammers. The fact she sits daily in the same place, with barely any movement or change in facial expression, and all these years later, has me curious lol.
