Low libido/ed persisting 6 months post embolization
I (25M) got diagnosed with a left side Varicocele in 2023. About one year ago the pain got worse and more constant and I noticed a sudden drastic drop in libido and began having erectile issues (i.e. morning woods non-existent, erections significantly weaker). This led me to see my doctor again and ultimately I got the embolization done early this year.
Pain has gone away almost entirely and the veins have shrunk considerably. Temperature down there also seems much more controlled rather than the hot sagging that always came with the Varicocele.
However, I have seen little to no improvement with libido and ed. And no morning woods still which sucks! I got my testosterone tested recently and it was actually slightly lower than the test I did prior to the operation (albeit the more recent one was done a little later in the day than optimal). I know hormones can take time to rebalance, just feeling discouraged because I expected to begin seeing improvement by now.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Has anyone had a similar experience? Is it still likely my body recovering from the Varicocele? Or something unrelated at this point?
