Buying an old (2002-2009) motorcycle in Ontario. No one is ready to do safety before selling. Why?
I'm a first-timer, planning to buy an old motorcycle from a marketplace in Ontario. Why is no one willing to get it safety certified before selling? My budget is around $3500. I saw some super clean 2002-2009 cruisers for sale. They have good tread on the tires, all lights are working fine, nice shocks, and I've checked the brakes. I'm even ready to pay for the safety certification, but they are still not willing. Why is that so? Is there anything legally to be worried about buying an old bike in 2026? Will I pass the safety inspection if I buy it?
