Can this be treated at home or does this warrant a trip to the dermatologist?
Hey guys,
Just looking for some tips. I am 23 years old and for the past year or so I've been dealing with scalpne. It's never really been intense or painful so I never felt urgency to get it checked out.
But basically, I have these weird pimple things from the back of my head to the crown of my hair. If I scratch my head it tends to pop and blood comes out before forming right back.
I usually have a full head of curly hair. But during the time of this photo I shaved my head with a razor for a religious purpose. It also served an extra benefit of letting me actually see what was happening. The night I shaved it half and slept. My white pillow had streaks of blood.
I'd love some insight on this. I did some reddit research and saw that it can be cured with medicinal shampoo. I saw others say that it's because my curly hair grows back into my scalp. But I never dealt with this before in my life and would be shocked that it would suddenly become an issue.
But if push comes to shove I'll just head over to the dermatologist.
