I have a M&P 2.0 40 Compact. I am wondering if I buy a 9mm 2.0 upper would it fit and work on my 40 Compact frame? Also would a CA compliant upper would work? It is cheaper to get. I know I have to get 9mm mags.

My P229 gets light surface rust on the controls from IWB carry. I have tried rust preventive CLP which didn't work. I did put some Flitz gun wax on the controls. I have not tested it yet. I really don't want to get the controls ceracoated. This only happens on my Enhanced Elite. My other P229 doesn't have this issue. That is a LE trade in. I was told the PD did a different coating that keeps rust away. Does anyone else have this issue? If so what do you do to prevent rust? My Enhanced Elite is a CPO if that makes a difference.
