Finally wrapped up my Magnum Opus MPX-SD build. Started with a Gen 2 MPX-K and had it cerakoted 2 different shades of FDE. This thing rips under NODS and runs flawlessly in the 3rd position. Hands down my favorite gun to shoot right now. Build list is as follows

Stock 1992 P226 still got it

Brand new, only 2 weeks old. $400, I couldn’t pass it up

I had a couple feeding issues at first with some rounds getting stuck half way up the ramp. Had some weird ejection port issue where I went to sight in and a piece of brass was vertical in the slide so I couldn’t see through the optic. The slide didn’t lock back on empty, some minor stuff. That was mostly on the first magazine, I had a little of the same at the beginning of the second magazine but after that it was smooth AF with zero issues. Super flat, feels sturdy in the hands and made me feel a little more grounded than my other pistols. I need to shoot it more to get used to the recoil impulse even though it’s slight. It’s a me problem, not a P211 problem. I think I have “broken wrists”, I need to clean up, and be more firm on the recoil. My Optic (Sig Romeo X Enclosed) was shooting low left but I forgot my adjustment tool so I shot irons as well. The irons are on point out the box. The little zeroing verification they included in the box was accurate because I was hitting clean with the irons, nice sight picture through the window. I put right around 100-105 rounds through it and the barrel was a perfect hand warmer lol.

Just got done taking it out and it was great. Just disliked having to spend 20 minutes dressing screws i sourced from Amazon. 6-40 screws are a PITA given how the bottom out. But it was good to go after that

Install was easy, had about 500 rds on the new trigger yesterday and holy shlt, its freakin good. I guess I just have affinity to flat triggers, man this thing shoots good. Really good.

Retail on these will start at $599 (don't recall which version exactly) for the 5 models, up to $899. They're also releasing another new optic, the XRAY5 Sig-Loc, closed emitter, capabilities of using an app on your phone to zero the optic and other features.

Been running these on my duty pistol for the last several years, recently replaced my last set after a year and a half of use. Decided I should add one to my M18, glad I did.

Picked up the new p211 nightshift - the plan was to take it to the range and run it, then covert to a 70 and compare. I got stuck on a conference call and my tools were looking at me like so seductively.

put in the Wilson 80->70 conversion kit and some aluminum Lok panels - it started at 4.2# trigger pull.
Put in the conversion and tuned the sear a bit, managed to get it down to 1.8#. After reassembly it settled and got some intermittent hammer follow, put it back up to 2.3# which resolved the issue -will tune more after I break it in.

All in all's got a nice break, and positive reset. Will run it tomorrow and give additional thoughts.
