Setup a practical shotgun practice session and we had a lot of fun.

I forgot how much fun shotguns are.

A lot of the guys were surprised by the accuracy you can get with slugs

Obscure Solutions is shipping their speed loader tubes for lever action rifles. I have no affiliation.

Pretty easy to use. Video clip is my first time trying it. I decided to just wing it on the clock.

I have a training coming up that focuses on lever action rifles and single action pistols. Think "2 gun match in a training environment".

I got asked about how to do reloads in a hurry so I recorded a quick clip on how to do that without burning you hands.

Thought I'd share for the other enthusiasts

Hosted another training session today. Had a good time. Participants has a good time with the "take the cone with you" drill.

Yesterday I hosted another 2 gun practice. I installed an offset dot on my 4-16 scoped upper (coyote setup) and was pleasantly surprised.

Obviously offsets have limitations but it works pretty well for this

Good dogs are wonderful to have around and really make a job easier.

Bad dogs, on the other hand are like having 5 riders working against you. Nightmare jobs.

I wouldn't call myself a revolver expert ,but I picked up a cool triple stack speed loader from Revindustries the other day and wanted to try it.

It works reasonably well. Stowing it does add a step but I had a few decent reloads.

It doesn't work if you have wide grips. If there's any angle between the cylinder and the device, forget it.

Took my 586 for a walk today. Ran a Practical shooting class with it.

I wanted to try this nifty triple stack speed loader from Revindustries.

What I found:

It works well. Smooth release, gravity works.

It's easy to load the speed loader. I come from the world of safariland and loading trays and this is a refreshing.

Stowing it after the first reload can be a trick but once you have a good system it's pretty slick.

Only bad thing I found was that it requires slim grips. If there's any angle between the cylinder and the device, forget it. These miculek grips work great.
