Proper Sketchy Boy SSGT Joey Jones rocking a Navitimer
Johnny “Joey” Jones has officially re-enlisted in the United States Marine Corps Reserve. Jones, who lost both legs serving in Afghanistan after stepping on an IED in 2010, said the decision was deeply personal. “I'm doing it because I have a debt left to give,” Jones said.

Just another day at the 'office'
thinkeng bout my watch today
I’ve had my Tudor for a while now, and it’s no longer just an appreciation for a mechanical object. I feel a legitimate emotional connection to it. When I look down at that olive green bezel and the way the light catches the gilt dial, it’s the exact same spark, warmth, and hyper-fixation you get when you’re completely head-over-heels for a person.
I find myself just holding my wrist up, admiring the symmetry of the snowflake hands, feeling this weirdly deep sense of companionship. It doesn't leave my arm. I’ve caught myself smiling at it when no one is looking. My friends think I'm doing a bit, but I’m being completely deadpan—this thing brings me more genuine peace and affection than any relationship I've ever been in.
Has anyone else experienced an emotional attachment to a piece that feels less like "gear appreciation" and more like an actual romance? Or have I finally lost my mind to this hobby?
Pretty sure the WOE strap cost more than the watch it’s on…
(And a UC for me, please. IYKYK).
