Oakley Torpedo from 2001. I daily’d this watch for years. You either love it or hate it. I still love it. It wears like a dream.

I’ve never seen a Tank style Field Watch. But I think the thin, manual wound, Grade 5 Titanium Echo Neutra Rivanera would be the perfect platform. Am I crazy in liking the idea of this or are others out there who dig the vibe as well?

Came across a former Air Force Pilot and Commercial Pilot who has worn this Airman since new. He bought it in Hong Kong for $21 USD. It’s been serviced once and says it keeps “perfect time”.

He was happy to hear other’s out there LOVE this watch, that it’s worth way more now than the $21 USD he paid for it, and that Glycine still makes the No 1. Purist 36mm. Seeing this made my week🫡
