“Uber’s Unjust Deactivation of Long-Term Drivers: A Call for Fair Treatment and Accountability”

For over seven and a half years, I dedicated myself to driving with Uber, completing more than 45,000 trips, building a stellar rating, and earning the trust of countless riders. Yet, in a swift and opaque move, Uber has deactivated my account based on an unverified report—one that I have never been given the chance to defend.

This is not just a personal injustice; it is a systemic failure of fairness and human rights. Uber, without any transparent investigation or opportunity for me to present evidence—like dashcam footage from my vehicle—has chosen to ignore my side of the story. I was never told the specifics of the allegation, nor was I given a chance to respond. Riders have the power to report, but drivers have no clear path for recourse. This is an abuse of Uber’s influence and a violation of basic human dignity.

I stand in solidarity with countless other drivers who have faced this injustice. We deserve a fair and transparent process. We demand to be treated with respect, and we will not be silent as our livelihoods are taken from us without cause. If any lawyers or advocates are listening, this could be the foundation of a class action case against Uber. Our rights, our work, and our dignity matter.
