Quitting cold turkey was positive for me
I want to start off by saying I respect all people's methods of quitting, whether that be CT or utilizing meds. Do what you think is best for you. For me personally, quitting CT was the right way to go. Going through those 2 weeks of withdrawal was torture, but I'm glad I went through it. The fear of going through that experience again is a huge motivator to never even consider taking that demonic drug again. I slept about 3-5 hours total for the first 7 days being off of 7oh, then it gradually increased from there. The crippling fatigue, RLS, depression, hopelessness, guilt, and shame was agonizing, but again, im grateful to have gone through it. I know deep in my heart im the happiest and best version of myself being off of that stuff. When using, you'll tell yourself otherwise, but you know it's not true. That stuff makes you a shell of your true self. It's all negative.
I did between 1000-1500mg daily for 4 months, and it was pretty mind blowing what it did to me coming off. You don't have to take this long to suffer and hurt yourself and those close to you. Best of luck to all of you and if this even helps one person, im happy :).
