Just because flowers?
I ‘19F’ and my boyfriend ‘20M’ have been together for six months and we live together too. He has a job in construction and I am still looking for a job, so while he’s at work I am making sure the house is clean and his laundry is done when he comes home. I am also making him dinners and lunches with little notes telling him how much I appreciate everything he does for me and I make sure I get along with his family and friends. Everyday when he gets home from work I massage his feel and back to relive some tension and help him relax. The last time he bough me flowers was when we first started dating six months ago and he hasn’t taken me on a date in over a month. We make love once a week and I don’t make a big deal out of it even tho I would like to at times. Last night I asked him to buy me flowers and he said “For what?” And I told him just because and it led to a whole talk about how he thinks I deserve flowers but he wants to give them to me when I “earned” them by doing things out of love for him.
In every other aspect of the relationship he is amazing and I know he loves me dearly but I would just like to be shown I am appreciated for the things I do.
I would just like some advice and some insight from others in relationships.
