Survival of the Fittest: Thrones, a medieval CRPG where your small band can become a realm
I’m developing Survival of the Fittest: Thrones, a medieval turn-based CRPG about building a band and keeping it alive.
You travel between towns, villages, abbeys and dangerous wilderness, recruiting people with their own histories. Each companion must be equipped, fed and paid, while injuries, morale and loyalty affect whether your band survives.
Encounters are shaped by character abilities and player choices. You may negotiate, intimidate, offer a bribe, challenge an enemy leader or persuade some of their fighters to abandon them. When diplomacy fails, battles take place on tactical hex maps where terrain, equipment, positioning and morale matter.
As your influence grows, you can establish and develop a castle, expand your forces and wage war against the major powers of the realm.
The game is still in an early playable state, but the browser build is free:
I’m particularly interested in how the character, dialogue-choice and party-management systems feel to experienced CRPG players.
