Automobilista 2 Patch 1.6.9.9 | I Didn't Expect the AI to Feel This Good
My first impressions right when the new patch launched!

My first impressions right when the new patch launched!
Crazy overtakes on a quick online league race.
Should I be worried? maybe I need to replace the elastomer?
I've used the pedals quite extensively and I live in a very humid and hot environment, near the beach and this room is reaching maybe 40c.
I was driving normally almost the whole day but after trying some hotlap for a bit I've started to notice the brake elastomer having a fading feeling.
Like it loses strength during the moments I'm applying pressure.
Instead of a progressive feeling , sometimes I had a step by step feeling which was a but surprising since I wasn't expecting the pedal to feel like that.
Another thing was that while trying to hold a certain pressure, the pedal kept losing braking %.
Should I be worried?
I'm torn apart between a really beautiful looking gaming TV like a LG G5 with Gsync Freesync VRR low latency boost at 165hz OLED. (0,1ms response)
Or an Ultrawide Agon pro 240hz gaming monitor or "esports" monitor. (0,03ms response)
Sometimes depending on the games I'm trying to be competitive in, I can struggle to hit 180fps.
If my FPS are "that low", will I still have any benefits using a 240hz monitor due to a faster refresh rate or a faster ability to render the frames as the GPU produces them, or by the time I'm struggling to keep up 180fps I'm rather safe in the 165hz display?
Since I'll barely notice any difference in performance when using the 240hz display?
At "full speed" uncapped frames I do notice differences between using these two.
If for example I'm caping frames at 120fps to record 60fps on OBS with the least amount of stuttering due to frame pacing, would I still notice the 240hz or would both panel "speeds" be virtually the same to me? Since my frames only go "so far" ?
Thanks in advance for any replies.
(btw I know faster refresh means more future proofing but if I'm pushing high graphical settings and stuck in low framerates, can I rest assured my performance is not being hindered by the display's refresh rate?)
Some Esports or competitive players create content.
Usualy it's universally accepted that the "ideal" spot would be 240hz or 240fps. Not all games can achieve this, not all displays run these rates.
Many people play 144hz, 165hz and 175hz.
Some games are even hard to maintain 240fps without huge dips on busy scenes.
For racing games, I would believe recording 60fps to be preferable to 30fps.
But when recording?
It's recommended to play at 120fps or 240fps? No "in between"?
I noticed that recording 60fps but having uncapped or inconsistent frame pacing results in micro stutters in the final video, and for racing where everything is about motion and motion clarity this is a problem.
I've noticed and seen many competitive sim racers recording and streaming themselves, and I wonder, the only possible way is to actually push 240fps all the time?
- #1 Multiplayer Session bugged
In multiplayer, I created or inherited a room, I think in both cases, as long as I didn't have Practice or Qually, when everyone "joined" the local session I created, we didn't have any menu, instead we're forced into the countdown for a Race Start!!! Even with setup open, we couldn't touch setup, or even any settings for that matter!
The screeshot shows game variable names (__currentcarSetupName__) (setupname) which is a really odd sight, looks to me like something in the code is broken.
Even the weather settings are totally broken (_floorislava_)

- #2 DLCs disapearing!
In this same session, I forgot to SS it, but I own I believe all DLC content for AMS2, but yet the guys in the room were telling me about kart tracks and I didn't have them.
At the time, when I went to the "kart section" on categories, I only saw 2 kart tracks.
This issue fixed itself later when I exit that lobby. But it is wierd? scary?
What If some DLCs don't show up all the time?
I've literally spent a lot with the intention of owning everything, even the things I don't race or rarely race just to mess around, but then I don't know if I'll see everything in the menus?
- #3 Huge performance Dips!
At first I thought it was because the game was on the wrong hard drive, so I used the steam "move directory" feature to move AMS2 to my fastest drive.
Still, over the course of a section my FPS start to go down, my game eventually starts to heavily stutter. This time it happened just on a training session. I did a few changes on the setup but it looks like after the 10th time returning to pits the game was totally broken and I was playing at 60fps which is totally unaceptable and like 25% of the ideal framerate for sim racing.
