Basic Coffee is a continuation of the Regular Coffee game. A simpler version of our golden coffee cream ale has been finished with espresso roasted blend of Sumatran, Columbian and Ethiopian beans, and a spicing of cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, allspice, cloves, vanilla beans, cardamom, mace and orange zest. Much like Regular Coffee looks to evoke an amusing version of the acidic bitter coffee curbed by milk and sugar that starts a day in a paper cup, Basic Coffee plays to that twenty ouncer that tags along on a lazy autumn morning, when sweats and slip-ons really are the only clothes.

SS 2014 Yirgacheffe Shift started with a neighbor and a coffee tasting.
During Carton's third year, Augie connected with Greg at Fair Mountain Coffee — a local neighbor — and spent time tasting coffees, looking for one that would play well with beer. The idea stuck. When anniversary season came around, they pulled out the original Bigger Boat recipe from year one, swapped the hops to Sorachi Ace and Lemon Drop for their distinct lemon character, and matched them with Yirgacheffe — a coffee with its own lemony bitterness — to see if the three could find each other in the same glass.
Small batch. Big beer. Built to last long enough to know if it worked.
That's the origin of SS 2014 — a coffee IPA born from a neighborhood friendship and the question of what happens when lemon hops and lemon coffee share a barrel.

And joining them today — SS JREAM is back. 🔸 Our Bigger Boat sour IPA collab with Burley Oak. Centennial, Citra, Amarillo, Nugget, Galaxy hit the foundation — bright, tropical, tart. A touch of lactose smooths the edges. Then Euphorics Pomelo Daydream comes in cold-side: a concentrated, hop-oil-based pomelo solution that pushes the fruit forward naturally, no shortcuts. The result is juicy, citrusy, and clean in a way that only hits when the process is right. 8.4% and dangerously easy about it.

A project almost 15 years in the making.

It was finally time to bring Regular Tea into the world.

Built on the same Imperial Cream Ale base as Regular Coffee, Regular Tea pivots toward another of Augie’s favorite morning rituals (when he’s not on a bike): a proper cup of Earl Grey tea.

We landed on Earl Grey for its distinctive citrus aroma and flavor—a natural complement to the creamy, slightly sweet body of the Regular Coffee base beer. Familiar, comforting, and here for summer
