Regular Tea 12% Imperial Cream Ale. Finally!

Regular Tea

A project almost 15 years in the making.

It was finally time to bring Regular Tea into the world.

Built on the same Imperial Cream Ale base as Regular Coffee, Regular Tea pivots toward another of Augie’s favorite morning rituals (when he’s not on a bike): a proper cup of Earl Grey tea.

We landed on Earl Grey for its distinctive citrus aroma and flavor—a natural complement to the creamy, slightly sweet body of the Regular Coffee base beer. Familiar, comforting, and here for summer

Pip pip. 🫖🍋

ABV: 12%

Hops: French Aramis

Yeast: Chico

Contains Earl Grey Tea

$24 | 4pk

Available today to-go only from the taproom!

Thoughts On Ludlam Island?

Not sure what made me think of them today, but I'm curious about everyone's thoughts on any recent visits.

I only visited them once, it was in their original location that originally belonged to Tuckahoe.

I know they're a brew pub now. How's the food? How's the beer?

Haven't had it in forever, but the wife and I loved "547".

What the hell happened to double nickel?

I've been a regular at Double Nickel the past few years, and nowadays it feels like Double Nickel doesn't even want to be a brewery anymore.

First, let me say they have some really solid IPAs, and their fan fave hot honey pizza is absolutely fantastic when done right. However, ever since they got their liquor license things feel like they've been going downhill.

The past few times I've been there, the place has been overrun by kids that aren't being supervised by their parents. Those same parents are ordering cocktails that the bartenders clearly aren't prepared to make with any level of efficiency, making lines build up. The food is taking way too long to be ready, and they've lost a lot of their mainstay bartenders to other breweries.

The last time i bought cans on site, i checked the dates when i got home and realized their beer had been canned over 4 months ago. With the price of NJ craft beer nowadays that's unacceptable.

They also got rid of trivia and completely killed their Monday business and turned off a bunch of regulsrs in the process (my understanding is that it was a result of ownership trying to penny pinch the trivia company).

The place went from being a solid brewery hangout to a weird hybrid brewery/family-restuarant-that-serves-cocktails spot that seems like it resents its own status as a brewery.

They're always busy, so maybe that's a winning business strategy, but as fan of local breweries at this point I can only recommend it if you're looking for a brewery that also serves food. Even then, the quality of their chicken wings/tenders, and basically everything other than their pizza (which even that has been burnt on a couple occasions recently) has drastically fallen off.

Does anybody else familiar with the brewery feel similarly?

Finally, this isnt a shot at a brewery for "getting to mainstream." Tonewood continues to crush it, and Cape May and Kane continue to keep their quality and brewery experience up despite their growth.

Breweries making Red Ales?

Wondering if anyone knows of an NJ brewery that is currently producing an Irish Red Ale? North Jersey but I'll take recommendations from central/south as well.

Are old school craft beer bars dead?

I feel like there were a lot more “true” craft beer bars in North Jersey… places like the Coppermine or the Twisted Elm years ago. But seems like those are few and far between these days. A lot more places seem to be cocktail-focused with limited beer selections. Do you think the old school craft beer bars will ever make a return? Or has the whole industry shifted?

Twin Elephant, Rosecourt Release Collab

From FB:

🥀🥀🥀🥀 SUB ROSA🥀🥀🥀🥀

.

Bourbon Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout | 13% | Toffee, Pecans and Uganda & Mexico Planifolia Vanilla Beans

.

Available at opening today for bottles to-go 2 per person and for pours onsite.

.

We are so stoked on how this project came out. A blending collaboration with our friends and soon to be neighbors @therosecourtbrewery. They are gearing up to open any day now so keep your eyes peeled and go check em out. The base is a blend of a 9 Year Four Roses barrel and a Barton 1972 barrel finished with an ungodly amount of pecans and both Uganda and Mexico Planifolia vanilla beans and just a kiss of toffee. Rich and decadent, with balance and depth while also somehow oddly drinkable 😜.

Erratic Fermentations Visit

Was in Bradley for brunch this morning, and, unsolicited, my family, who has been trained, for better or worse, to know we go to BBP when we're in the area, asked to go. I explained that BBP was no longer there, but another brewery had taken over so we picked up some pastries from Del Ponte's and headed over.

First, if you've been to BBP, you immediately recognize the space, but they've totally made it their own. Beautiful. Very rustic. Less of a beach vibe, but I can see it being really, really enjoyable in a beach winter. Really loved the vibe.

Had Some Cerveza with Limes from the Lukr which was a delightful Mexican lager that I hope they have on when it gets warmer. Spazzmatic Fermenaunshine was a crushable, but flavorful session. Fluffy Clouds and Wasps Nest were solid IPAs. Looking for Pancakes was fantastic and loaded with coffee flavor sweetened by the maple.

We'll miss our stops at Bradley Brew on the way home from trips to the beach, but super excited to start new traditions at Erratic Fermentations. Definitely go out of your way to check it out.

Join the Brewers Guild of New Jersey & over 30 breweries throughout the state for the inaugural NJ Pint Day on Thursday June 4th, 2026!

What is NJ Pint Day?
NJ Pint Day will take place on Thursday, June 4th, 2026 at more than 30 participating breweries across the state! Craft beer enthusiasts are invited to purchase a limited-edition collectible pint glass available exclusively at the participating brewery taprooms listed below. In partnership with BGNJ member breweries and Boelter Beverage, $1 from every glass will be donated to the Brewers Guild of New Jersey.

Cultivate the Garden State
The theme for our inaugural glass, Cultivate the Garden State, is dedicated to the elements that bring us back to our Jersey roots. Lead proudly by our state bird, The American Goldfinch carrying a hop leaf, because at the core of beer is where we call home. This year’s glass was designed by NJ native & designer Tom Schmitt.

Where can you get your own glass? Breweries throughout the state will each have the opportunity to order glasses to celebrate the occasion. Each glass supports the Brewers Guild of New Jersey, a non-profit organization that’s purpose is to promote and protect all breweries across the state. $1 from each glass will benefit the work we do every day to to keep advocating for our breweries through legislative action and marketing support.

2026 NJ Pint Day Glass:
In honor of the special day a limited edition Cultivate the Garden State glass will be available at participating breweries while supply lasts. $1 from each glass benefits the Brewers Guild of New Jersey. Can't make it out that day? The BGNJ will have limited edition merchandise on our merch store available the week of.
