Just a rant on Bajaj's decision to downsize the Triumph 400s

**Direct Comparison: Bore Reduction vs. Actual Stroke Reduction**

**Specification** **Original 400cc Engine** **Actual 350cc Engine (Stroke Reduced)** **Hypothetical 350cc Engine (Bore Reduced)**
**Bore × Stroke** 89 mm × 64 mm **89 mm × 56.1 mm** **83.4 mm × 64 mm**
**Engine Type** Hyper Short-Stroke Ultra Short-Stroke Moderate Short-Stroke
**Peak Power** 40 PS @ 8,000 rpm **37 PS @ 8,500 rpm** **\~32–33 PS @ 8,000 rpm**
**Peak Torque** 37.5 Nm @ 6,500 rpm **32 Nm @ 7,000 rpm** **\~34 Nm @ 6,000 rpm**
**Character** Blazing top-end; fast-revving Linear, rev-happy, top-end focus Punchy mid-range, slower to rev

Hey guys, I know it's all done and nothing will change, but recently I drove the current 350cc Scram 400x, and I simply could not accept the fact that they changed the complete nature of the OG (I have it).

**Not to tense the new buyers, sorry, but actually the current ones are super smooth, and even I want the same smoothness in my bike**, but without compromising the pull it had at every rev.

Guys, I know that Bajaj chose the most cost-effective way, but still, ignore all those things; just go through the figures generated by Gemini.

What do you think? Do you think that my hypothetical engine would still provide a similar or better feeling than our OG engine did to the new buyers? Do you think even OG owners might feel like, "yeah, it's more or less the same"? What do you think if they might use my hypothetical engine on the new Bone 350?
