A Dynamite for everyone

It just hit me that this week’s Dynamite (13 May 2026) would be a great starting point for WWE fans who want to try AEW.

I see a lot of posts from people saying: “I’m done with WWE. Where should I start with AEW?”

Honestly, this episode feels like a perfect answer.

The show opens with a brilliantly directed comedy bit where MJF is surrounded by bald members of the AEW crew ahead of his hair vs. title match with Darby. I genuinely think WWE, a company that prides itself on being “entertainment”, couldn’t have executed it any better. It was genuinely perfect. And that’s the point: AEW isn’t just “where the best wrestle”. It can be entertainment too.

Another thing WWE fans often seem to care about is attendance and atmosphere. This Dynamite had a sellout crowd, and they were fantastic throughout. The crowd elevated the entire show and made it feel big.

I think there are certain hurdles that stop WWE fans from getting into AEW, but this episode clears a lot of them. It had comedy, atmosphere, big characters, great wrestling, and a crowd that made everything feel important.

For anyone asking where to start with AEW, this week’s Dynamite is a pretty strong answer.

AEW Unreal

There seems to be an audio issue with production. I’m watching at home with headphones on and I can easily hear the ref tell jack perry they’re in picture-in-picture and also hear the producers count down to Schiavone when they’re back live.

Not the end of the world of course, I know how wrestling works. It’s just interesting
