Title pretty much says it all. I got told I had to wait for my security check to start a project but thrown off for inactivity while I was waiting for it to come through. I take it there isn’t anything I can do just hope for the next one to come along. Just feeling really frustrated at the moment about all of this.

Title pretty much says it all, got an email for this project which had an hourly rate that I had never seen before in my life. When I saw it said on my dashboard that it had a public policy tag I thought that made sense as I am a final year polsci student and I have policy experience. When I got to the assessment however, all the questions were stem based and I wasn’t able to answer them which meant I failed. I know I shouldn’t expect much from this place but I’m just so angry to have this carrot dangled in front of me especially after the week I had.

On Saturday I received an offer out of the blue to become a Senior Domain Expert, this is my first contract with mercor but I have done work on other sites before. I got asked to complete a security check and was told it would take 2-3 business days, we are now past that time frame and I am now being told that I could receive my police check (the name of this check in my country) before or after the 28th of May.

I just find this really frustrating because I have to wait until this comes through to be able to work, I also have a valid police check due to previous work but both Mercor and zinc won’t accept that despite it also coming from the AFP. Is this something I should expect for all contracts?
