Applying to a foreign school for the 2027/2028 academic year (Grad School)

I know we’re all trying to figure this out but if anyone can provide any guidance or anything it would be grateful appreciated.

I have not met the grad plus loan limit thankfully. That said are federal loans not expected to cover full COA or at least tuition? What is everyone doing to supplement what isn’t covered? Are private lenders becoming more lenient (obviously because they’re predatory) but I just need to figure out how to make life “easier” while abroad.

Moving to England September 2027 - How much should I save?

Basically the title.

I know England is one of the more expensive countries to move to but it’s comparable to life here in the US. As a US licensed attorney, I am able to practice in England ( yes yes I know there are limitations). However, I’m planning on getting my LLM and sitting for the SQE to be a qualified solicitor meaning I’ll be moving on a student visa. My first year will be dedicated to my studies and getting acclimated to London and the way of life.

Im not sure what is a sufficient amount to save to live comfortably. Was thinking $30k which is roughly £22k, but after doing the numbers this is steep for me. Maybe $22k (~£16k)? I will most likely be using my GI Bill and federal student loans too so I’ll have some kind of cash flow as well.
