My son wakes up and immediately he’s at 110%. He wants to yell all of his words (and sometimes just yelling), won’t stop talking, complains about almost every single thing.

He’s 6 (developmentally he’s 4 due to pre-adoption life). So long explanations are conceptually over his head right now.

It’s scaring my cats and stressing me out severely.

We constantly ask him to use inside voice and try to distract him while prepping his breakfast with tasks he likes. But it’s not helping the volume and wildness.

He gets 12 hours of sleep and we are very careful with his diet.

What, if anything, can we do to reduce the volume in the morning?
