6 year old daughter had her tonsils and adenoids removed yesterday morning.
Tonight she has spat out 2 debris - 1 small thin brownish mucus and about an hour later 1 tiny piece of ?scab - looked like a tonsil stone in appearance. Yellowish and I would say lentil size. I have looked in her throat and I can see no blood.
she has been doing well with her recovery. Eating and drinking well. Sore as to be expected but very manageable. Not even any foul breath which has surprised me, only slight bad breath.
is this something that is within the realm of normal that any of you experienced? I had a haemorrhage after tonsil removal when I was a child, so I’m very anxious about this!
