BYD Seal AWD: real PCD & safe wheel load?
Hi everyone,
I’m trying to figure out the correct wheel specs for my new car, BYD Seal AWD (2026 / Performance or as called here, Excellence), and I’ve noticed something really confusing.
A lot of online wheel configurators and fitment databases list the car as having a 5x120 PCD, but from what I can tell in reality the car is actually 5x114.3.
Can owners who already changed wheels confirm:
- What is the actual PCD on your Seal AWD? Do you have all wheel specifications?
- Did you personally measure it or successfully fit aftermarket wheels?
My second question is about wheel load ratings.
The car weighs around 2160 kg, and many aftermarket wheels I’m looking at (especially lightweight ones) are rated at around 690 kg wheel load. That honestly feels too low to me for such a heavy EV, especially considering potholes and rough roads.
What confuses me even more is that the OEM wheels are stamped at 850 kg wheel load.
So:
- What wheel load rating do you consider safe/recommended for the Seal AWD?
- Has anyone here been running 690 kg wheels long term without issues?
- Any bending/deformation problems?
I’m currently looking at OZ HyperGT wheels and I’d like to keep the stock 19” tires.
If you replaced your OEM wheels, please share:
- wheel model
- size / ET
- wheel load rating
- and whether you kept the stock tires.
Thanks!
