Nice little surprise when I pulled up to work this morning
I didn’t even realise an update was coming but I got this on my BYD Dolphin (UK) this morning

I didn’t even realise an update was coming but I got this on my BYD Dolphin (UK) this morning
Was going down the highway and saw some ATTO 3 EVO's being delivered.
Surprised with how quick BYD is, distributing them.
I had road force balancing today, and the workshop said one rear wheel is defect and need to change to new wheel. Does rear wheel also makes steering and brake vibration? Does this picture flags good or bad tyres?

So following my previous post, I just updated my Dolphin to 2.3.0 and I’ve noticed straight away that saying “hey Siri” no longer uses Siri through Apple CarPlay and instead uses the BYD chat which is not ideal. I utilise Siri a lot when driving to send messages, make phone calls and open Teams and yet now it no longer works since the update and when asking BYD to do these things it seems to have no clue. Not sure if anyone is aware of how to fix this or whether I’m now stuck until BYD pushes a fix
Hello BYD Sealion 7 owners in Europe,
Is God's eye (DiPilot) enabled in your Sealion 7? If not, are the cars equipped from factory with the HW to support it? If so, do you know the plans to have it enabled in Europe in the future?
Thanks.
Hello, we just test drove both cars. Both are 31k euros in our market.
BYD has better tech and feels more premium while Honda is more reputable. Can someone share experience with BYD Atto 2 DM-i? The one we have here has 90km electric range.
Range per year 5-6k km, mostly city. Would like to keep 5years.
Thank you
I’ve gotten this message from the BYD app on my IPhone. Apparently there is a free cellular service included for the first two years. My car dealer in NL never spoke about this. The costs to keep using it are €99 per year. It seems to be used for native car apps which I don’t use.
I’m not sure if the use of the BYD app (remote connection like locking the car) requires this service as well. This I do use. Just like turning on the AC on hot days to cool the car before entering it.
Some questions that come to mind:
Did anyone else receive this message recently?
Did your dealer inform you while purchasing the car?
Can we “replace” the built in sim so we can use a local provider?
I had BYD Seal U DM-i as a rental car in Italy, it was an underwhelming experience. There were 2 major issues specifically:
The hybrid system- The engine works on extremely high rpm, judging by how loud it gets. It feels like when you drive stick or in manual mode and you don’t shift up. To make matters worse, after researching (on the side of the road since I thought the engine was about to explode) turns out there is no rpm gauge so you can’t really monitor it and there is no way to change this behaviour (I tried playing with the driving modes but it didn’t seem to be making any difference). It was driving me nuts! So frustrating!
The cruise control system is absolutely terrible. lane keep assist waits until the wheels touch the lines and swerves violently back to the centre. Similarly, the system wasn’t able to keep distance from the car in front (often times it didn’t seem to detect the car in front at all). That resulted in many dangerous swerves, sudden uncalled for brakes slammed and ultimately me needing to take control very often. For reference, at home I have a Subaru and the Eyesight system is MILES better.
I was looking forward to having the option to buy one of the Chinese brands in Canada in the coming months, but honestly I won’t even consider it for at least several years.

Hallo!
Browsing not allowed, not existing or empty bucket.“
DANKE!
I know it will soon, but the limited number is only 49000 this year and I don't think I have a chance to buy one with this limitation in two years. I watched a lot of videos about BYD cars and I want to exchange my current car which is a 2021 Rav4 to a Shark6.
Hi gentlemen i want to use the we com application to able to read this qr code for ADB activation and software update
Summer is coming soon and will be getting my car tinted. Has anyone tinted their sunroof?
I have electric blinds but want to reduce the heat further.
First problem. Had something strange happen and want to hear if others have seen this.
I was driving in the city (normal mode, ~50km/h average, no AC or heating on). Battery showed 17% with 16km left to my destination — should've been more than enough. But after only 14km, the car started losing power fast. It hit 6%, got noticeably weak, and then in about 2 minutes (roughly 200 meters), the remaining 6% dropped straight to 0% and the car shut off completely.
Other info that might be relevant:
On a full charge, predicted range is around 300km city driving, but in reality I only get about 240km before this happens
I charge from 20% to 100% about once a week, using a 32A single-phase 220V charger
No AC or heating used on this trip
The last 6% disappearing in 200 meters is what really bothers me. That's way too fast for actual remaining energy — feels more like the percentage shown wasn't accurate, and the battery (or one cell in it) just hit a cutoff point under load instead of gradually running out.
Anyone had a similar sudden shutdown, or noticed a big gap between predicted and real range? Wondering if this is a known issue or something to push the dealer on.oblem with my BYD.
I've travelled 1.000+ km trip one way trip and 999+ return trip on different route, mostly to get to know the car, to break-in the engine with smooth and chill driving and no highway. Well, no-highway it prooved to be quite hard, but probably I did at most 200 km on highway and did not forced speeds for over 110 km/h only very briefly for overtaking or so.
On normal roads, 90-100 max speed, depending on the posted speed limit. Just a handful of kick downs during whole trip, and thoseout of necessity, when it was really needed. Otherwise, chill going, no hard accelerations, but definitely not sleeping at the wheel. I would say normal, no excess driving style, maybe a tad on the spirited driving style.
This is my fuel consumption.
Fuel consumption screen in BYD App
HEV 1257 km. EV 1040 km. Odometer 2297 km. I did fully charged it 100% at both ends.
Hi all, is there anyway to get Netflix on the seal u, I’ve only been able to download YouTube but was wondering if there’s a way of getting Netflix on the car, as some of my public chargers take over an hour to charge up the car so would be good to have access to something while I wait
I‘m still waiting for my car to arrive and was browsing trough the internet for additional equipment.
Are fingerprints strongly visible on the infotainment screen? If so do you have any protection that you can recommend?
