Problems with Huion Kamvas 16 (Gen 3) - Any Help Appreciated

I bought it in November last year and have been patchy with use, as I haven't been big time into drawing for a while. I bought it to replace my old GT-191.

I love its size and the buttons are really handy (the GT-191 had none), but my experience so far has been extremely frustrating and disheartening.

Firstly, the dial to zoom in / out of the canvas rarely looks properly. Most of the time it jumps back and forth, often zooming in instead of out or out instead of in. I hardly use the dial now because of this, and instead tap on-screen controls with my pen.

However, the WORST issue, and the main reason I am posting this, is the pen continuously draws lines when it's not touching the screen. The lines are tiny, not noticeable unless you zoom in, but EXTREMELY annoying, because it means I have to use ctrl z multiple times to remove my last line, because my software thinks I'm still drawing. The sight of tiny, pixelated lines all over my art is just soooo damn irritating. I shouldn't have to put up with this.

It's making me so angry, especially today. I have swapped my nib, changed pressure sensitivity, reinstalled drivers, used the calibration tools in the app, and nothing works.

Any help would be really appreciated.

EDIT: Just saw there's actually a few recent posts about the Kamas 16 Gen 3 having issues. Damn it.

Struggling to find info on these cans

Specifically this closed model, not the semi-open.

Never heard a Fostex before, and these being fully closed back AND made of wood has made me curious.

Anyone here with experience?

I made a post about them to r/HeadphoneAdvice and got impressions from a single user. Would love to hear any other impressions people may have.

Interesting... (FiiO M21 VS FiiO KA5)

I've never noticed a difference across my different sources, whether I was playing directly from my phone's onboard DAC, from my FiiO KA5, or from my FiiO K7. Any differences I did notice (such as the time my Focal Celestee seemingly 'came alive' from my K7), I assumed was just the hype of using dedicated source gear and pushing the volume a bit louder because of it. Being in a certain mood and using louder volumes absolutely has a significant impact on how sound is perceived, and this has always left me skeptical of my own observations in audio.

This time though... I am certain I can hear a real difference between my first ever DAP (FiiO M21) and my little dongle DAC (FiiO KA5.) The KA5 sounds better to my ear, and upon first listen, I found the FiiO M21 to sound disappointing in comparison. The soundstage felt compressed and less airy, vocals sounded thicker in an almost muddy way.

The FiiO KA5 sounds better to me. More airy, vocals sound smoother, and everything feels less 'mushy.' Instrument separation is better. Because of this, I always use my FiiO M21 with my KA5 when I'm moving around, and connect it to my FiiO K7 when I'm at my desk.

I was expecting the FiiO M21 to sound better, but perhaps you need to spend significantly more to beat out a dedicated dac/amp like the FiiO KA5. The FiiO M21 doesn't sound bad, and I will happily listen to it, but since I have the KA5 on hand, I'd rather that. Still a really good device and I'm happy I bought it, it replaces my noisy 16 inch gaming laptop as my source device.

Does anyone else own the FiiO M21, or the FiiO KA5? What was your experience?
