How to do a Small Bust Adjustment on 1780s Stays pattern?

I bought Redthreaded’s 1780s Stays pattern and after doing a mockup, I shortened the waist-underarm area by an inch. The second mockup was the perfect height, but alas, I realized I was going to have to do an SBA (2 inches, so 1 inch per pattern piece) because it was far too big in the bust. However, Redthreaded’s pattern gives no instructions for this other than “look up slash and spread tutorials online.”

I tried, but they were pretty unhelpful, since they’re designed for bodices without a side panel. When I tried one (2nd picture), I couldn’t get the strap area to lay flat. So I tried moving the side bit over, but I’m doubting myself now… the bones don’t look placed correctly???

I am desperately in need of advice! Please help me, fellow sewists - you’re my only hope.

Night guard, drooling, and CPAP — how do I know if I’m breathing through my mouth?

Hi folks! I started using a night guard about a week ago, because I had been clenching my teeth in my sleep. I didn’t realize it until my dentist pointed it out, due to the damage!

But since wearing it, I often wake up with drool on my face. The ResMed app says my mask seal hasn’t changed at all, but I know it’s not entirely reliable. I use a nasal pillow mask — the Airfit p10 with an extra small nose piece.

How can I know if this is negatively impacting the effectiveness of my CPAP? I have no idea if I’m breathing through my mouth during these times.

Mine just come back the next day…

Mostly posting to vent a bit. I know that for some people, they really can stop a migraine completely if they take their meds early enough. But for me, I can take them, feel better for the rest of the day (which is by no means a guarantee), and then wake up back in prodrome the next morning. Maybe it’s partly because my migraines are mainly triggered by weather changes?

“Take your medication early” is great advice when you don’t have a limited supply and 3-4 migraine days per week on average… And even when I do take my nurtec and/or naratriptan ASAP and even when that actually makes the symptoms go away, it doesn’t stop them coming back several days in a row… 😭

I guess bedtime is going have to wait a bit longer…

The book was “The Soul of an Octopus” by Sy Montgomery — highly recommend if you want to learn about octopuses and maybe cry.

ISO Cheap & Ad-Free Sudoku Apps

I’m wondering if anyone knows of a good, ad-free sudoku app that I can buy (ideally one time, not a subscription) for a decent price? I like my current app (sudoku.com by EasyBrain) because it bolds the notes & highlights rows/columns when I click on a number — I’ve attached a screenshot to show what I mean.

ETA — apps on IOS please!
