Used to go to Guangzhou a lot before COVID mainly for shopping (high quality replica bags, sunglasses, clothes, factory overruns etc.)

Thinking about going back in 2026.

How much has the scene changed?

Are the old wholesale markets still worth visiting? Can you still find high-end reps locally or has everything moved to WeChat/private sellers?

Also wondering whether Guangzhou is still worth visiting specifically for shopping/sourcing, or if it’s not really the same anymore post-COVID.

Would appreciate input from anyone who’s been there recently.
