Rearview mirror blocking view too much?
Hello all.
I'm considering picking an ND (ND2 or ND3) for summer/autocross (CS) car. I remember sitting in one at a few autoshows way back when the ND just came out and it was okay. I also used to have an NC, which was tolerable.
I test-drove a '26 GT the other day, and the rearview mirror seemed huge and was blocking pretty much everything on that side of the windshield. That'd be a dealbreaker.
Are all NDs like that? I do not remember noticing that at autoshows.
I am not that tall, ~6', perhaps with a bit longer torso, but I like to sit pretty close to the steering. Even with the latter telescoped out to the max, I sit fairly vertically and my eyes were pretty much level with the rearview mirror.
I had an NC a while back and it was not an issue. I also drove a bunch of NA/NB to/from autox evens many time w/o issues, but those older rearview mirrors were small and could be moved higher if needed.
The seat does not adjust lower, right?
Do Recaros sit lower at all?
Are there any aftermarket solutions for rearview mirrors?
