Grateful, and surreal.
Always wanted a Miata, finally had a use case for it. First “nice car” ever. The commute this morning was like a dream! Will this high ever end, hope not!?
Car won't turn off
It's also happened about a year ago but magically fixed itself...
I put the car in park and push the power button and the electric and dash and everything turn off like normal but the engine stays running although it sounds like it's hesitating more than normal.
If I open the car door the engine turns off. If I turn the headlights on the engine turns off.
I finally got to check engine light and I'll try to read the codes later today but I'm wondering if anybody has ideas because I know the codes don't always tell you exactly what's going on.
Has anyone experienced this with their Miata for? Or maybe a different kind of car?
Light mod options for 2026?
I'm looking for anything that makes me more visible on the road. What lighting mods have you done to your 24+ NDs?
Please share product names so I can search for them.
Photos would be awesome too! I'll share my beauty as well!
Need some assistance chasing down a suspension clunk.
So I recently lowered my ND2 GT RF Miata on GWR progress springs. Installed them, clocked the bushings, drove 500 miles, clocked again, then went in for alignment. All is fine and dandy and i put about 500 more miles on the car. Then unfortunately my lil Miata had a bit of a parking lot incident with a giant truck who didn't see me parked right next to him. His rear tire ripped off my bumper partially.
Thankfully, dude handles it out of pocket and I go to a certified Mazda repair center. All OEM parts, only cosmetic.
Now this is where things get kind of weird and I don't know if this is a coincidence or not. After getting the car back from the body shop, I started noticing a clunk in the front end. Seems to happen when turning slowly on occasion, when the body flexes, and when rebounding off of a hard brake. Also if you slalom in the car aggressively you can get it to "clunk clunk clunk" in repetition. Now I say this might be a coincidence because I'm not entirely sure if the car being sent off to the shop, has anything to do with this sound. I went over their itemized receipt and there's really nothing they should have touched that would have been suspension related and I'm almost wondering if I was just paying more attention to the car since I just got it back from the shop? I don't know.
So anyways, I started investigating and so far I have:
Checked the torque of all suspension bolts
Checked torque of top hat bolts and main strut bolt
Checked torque of strut brace
Checked the torque of oil pan skid plate bolts
Removed BOTH sway bar end links
And even with all of that, sound is still there and I cannot for the life of me figure out what the hell it is.
Is it possible that the sway bar itself is contacting the back of the shock bodies? That's the only thing I can think of at this point.
Looking for any insight because it's driving me crazy and I'm about ready to take it into a shop to have them look at it.
I also contacted the shop that worked on the car and they said that they would take a look. But honestly I'd rather try and fix this myself as I'm not a huge fan of passing off my car to people. Thanks in advance!

Please help me with rear glass vibration
Hi all, I’ve been to so many garages and none of them can help, I’ve had my 2016 ND for 9 months now, only 19,000 miles on it, however the last few months I get this on and off vibration in the rear glass (soft top) when my engine is on and when I drive on the road it gets worse and into a heavy rattle / vibration that is unbearable and I don’t enjoy driving it anymore, does anyone have this issues / had and know how to fix it?
New Miata custom order- timeline
Looking for people that ordered their Miata directly from Mazda.
What was your timeline ? When did you submit your order and when did the car arrive at your dealership ?
Can you get discount also on an order or it’s MSRP ?
Looking for all the feedback I can get

youtu.beThoughts on wrapping 2019 ND2 30th AE in BRG?
Was playing around with some rendering software (trigger warning: these are AI renders), and made this for fun.
Thinking I might pick up an orange 30th AE edition and then wrap it in BRG, potentially leaving a bit of the orange showing. What will make this design look tasteful and on-brand for Miata, in your opinion?
Buying Help
Hello Miata friends! I am a long time lurker on here and I desperately want to join the club.. I was wondering if I could get some advice though!?
I finally found one that fits my budget but its not *exactly* what I want. The first big problem is the screen looks like this... has anyone else had this problem and no how to fix it? Also since its a club and not a grand touring there's no seat heaters (which is admittedly a bit of a deal breaker) Are there any decent ways to add seat heaters without forking up the money for reccaros? Any help/advice is greatly appreciated! Cheers! 😊
TLDR: I want a miata so badly and I found one with problems and I want to know if they're and easy fix!?
The number is similar, so he parked next to me.
Miata Group Rides
I wish Miata group rides were more of a thing. Driving my pink Miata around is fun, but driving around with 20 other Miatas on a bunch of windy roads was unreal.
I joined the (RF) Club last month!
New to me 2017 RF Club w/ BBS Bilstein package. First mods will probably be lowering springs and axle back exhaust. But for now, I continue to learn manual and enjoy my first sports car.
Just some photos I took & question about springs
Just lowered on progress springs and goodwin lowered bumpstops. Is it normal for the rear right to sit an 1/8th -1/4th inch higher? I've seen mixed responses. Wondering if it'll level in a few days with an alignment and new tires.
Also, running 15mm spacers front and 20mm back. Will I be able to fit 215s on front and rear without scrubbing? Should I do 215 rear and 205 up front? Or keep 205 all around? Handling and traction are my biggest concern. Thinking Nitto tires.
Does anyone/anywhere rent Miata’s in the Murrieta/Temecula area? I just want to drive around for a couple of hours. (I want one but I’m not ready to commit to buying one)
reddit.comStage one tune for ND1 1.5 worth it ?
I'm rocking a ND1 1.5l and I'm curious if a stage one ECU reflash would do the car any meaningful performance upgrades.
I don't really need an increase in top speed but I feel like the torque doesn't really kick in during lower rpms like below 4k and also the car has very little torque on gear six.
Wondering if a tune would help with this?
ND2 RF Grand Touring Advice Needed
Got konig hypergrams. 17x8 45mm offset. I want to go with the progress RF lowering springs. What tire size should I run? I really want to use 225/45R17 but my concern is rubbing. Would I need to roll my fenders to accomplish that? Or should I be fine?
