Can I realistically visit central Helsinki during a 7‑hour layover (HK→ Portugal)?

Hi, i‘m not sure if this is the right place to ask, but I’d really appreciate any honest advice, i’m flying from Macau to Portugal with a 7‑hour layover in Helsinki and I’m deciding whether to stay at the airport or go into the city. This will be my first time having such a long connection, and I’m a bit nervous about timing and safety.

I know some of these questions might sound a bit basic or even a little naive, but I’m genuinely trying to understand what to expect.

Is 7 hours realistically enough to take the train from the airport to central Helsinki, walk around a bit, and come back without stress or risk of missing my next flight?

Im a 20yo student traveling alone, and I’ll be in the city center during daylight. Is it generally safe for a solo traveler?

I’m also a Black girl (feel like i need to point out), and I’m a bit worried about facing any kind of hostility or uncomfortable situations, what are the chances?

If it’s doable, what would you recommend for a short 3–4‑hour visit?

Any honest, down‑to‑earth advice is really appreciated, kiitos etukäteen!
