Really truly comfortable work appropriate shoes?

I basically need a nice thick rubber sole for my feet and lots of inner cushioning. I have several pairs of Skechers loafers that work. Some Cole Haans loafers and boots also work as does an occassional Franco Sarto. I haven't tried the Sarah Flint Alysia, but it looks a little thin. Most of the Vivaia's are too thin. What other brands should I be looking at? Budget is under $300 per pair. I usually wear a pantsuit or a midi dress. Here's a pictue of a Skechers shoe that works for me to give you an idea:
