Beekeepers, I really need advice about bees on our balcony and I dont know what to do

Edit: Thank you everyone for the advice so far. They are now just sitting in the wall and still cleaning stuff out and I will see what happens. We are about to hit 94 degrees today. I am definitely going to address this whole issue to higher management and will take this as a lesson to get it address right the first time so this never has to happen again to another resident.

I just want to be clear I didn't want any bees to die in this process.

We moved into an apartment September 2025, and within one day our balcony was full of bees. Told the apartment complex about it but they came in and killed all of them 😭 but they never took out anything from the cavity they were in. The floor was full of maggots because there was so many dead bees it was terrible.

They block the hole with a towel dunked in gasoline and thats what they call a remedy. Well a few weeks later they take off the towel and then more bees come back again and I mean hundreds and hundreds of bees (I don't know how to tell whats hundreds and thousands of bees). The apartment complex came in and killed them all again. They close off the hole with the towel again and call it a remedy.

Few months after, our building is covered in so many flys and there is just so many flys on our balcony and the balcony below. I felt so bad because our neighbor is so nice and having to deal with this sucks. The complex calls me to say they are coming in to spray the place and at this point I'm like super fed up. They keep killing things without going inside the structure remove them or even see if someone can come in to identify and take them.

I sent them an email right after the fly issue because we haven't been able to use our balcony for long periods of times and I was paying over 100 dollars for a storage unit that could have fit in our storage on the balcony. I can't find the email even though I never deleted it, but basically asked them that the dead bees in the cavity are going to be an issue and really this is a safety issue (this is a very walkable complex and people have a lot of dogs and kids). They said this time around they will get someone to inspect the area to see if they can take out the wall and remove the material inside. Cool, it has been maybe almost a month since that.

Now I am at my wit ends. Yesterday, I leave for work at 2 pm, I check the balcony everyday because of this issue and I see no bees. Four hours later I come home and bees everywhere and more than the last times. Same cavity. I don't know how to approach this anymore. Me and my boyfriend are both stressed. I have pictures. I have been watching their behavior. I know they're bees and definitely not wasps, we also have a wasp issue on our balcony a lot of times.

I think the bees are taking out the old bees from last time. They're like small little crisped bodies on the ground like those are definitely so old. There is also like a powder/dust in the surrounding area which definitely never happened the last two times. I also live in I would consider more rural New Mexico so I am not too sure if bee keepers are active on social media here.

Picture is how they look when I got home yesterday And what they look like today. The cavity they are in is a drainage pipe, but its actually a literal entrance into our balcony walls.

Just random questions I had that about remodels since our store doesn’t have the experience to answer them. There's a chance I might be going ON to help with the remodel and was just curious.

What are the schedules like for the ON remodel team?

How does the remodels usually start?

Is there a dedicated team just for the outside part of it, and if so what are they doing? Same goes for the inside team.

How much heavy work is it and should I start working out for this?

If you worked in a remodel team or were an associate that helped with the remodel, are there any things you would want to share that you wish you know or just wanted to share?
