UK - is private the only option if you want proper support?

I’m having a mental health crisis, I called 111 yesterday and they didn’t really offer anything because I’m not suicidal, and I went to a mental health A&E today and they just gave me some leaflets. I enquired about inpatient treatment at a private facility and it’s £8k for a week. Is this really our only option or have I just been unlucky?

Called 111 because I can’t stop self harming and they told me to take an antihistamine…

Has anyone ever been told this? Is this a treatment that I’m not aware of?! They won’t do anything else because I’m not suicidal and I feel like I’m falling through the cracks and I don’t know what to do

How do you know when you need inpatient? (Trigger warning)

I’m not suicidal but have lots of urges to hurt myself, which I keep acting on. I’m currently in a different country to my psychiatrist and he just said to go to A&E if I feel unsafe. I don’t know what to do.

Does anyone have any suggestions of things to do in the rain

I’m visiting NYC this week for the third time, and rain is currently forecast all day Thursday. Does anyone have any suggestions of indoor things we can do please? Thank you

Don’t know if I’m depressed/hypo/mixed, I just feel off the rails

I feel like I’m unravelling. I’m going through some big life changes with big decisions to make, I just broke up with the person I was seeing, and I fell out with some friends. I feel like I have no one except my parents (grateful to have them), but I can’t tell them how I feel. I’m starting to have thoughts of hurting myself again (nothing serious), and I don’t know what to do

I returned to the UK temporarily three weeks after the war started, but now I can’t decide if I should make the move permanent. My work is fully remote so it doesn’t matter where I am, and I have a place to live.

I have to let my landlord know in two weeks if I’m renewing my Dubai tenancy by another year or not, and I don’t know if the conflict will be resolved by then.

I’m currently 50/50, so any thoughts or insights would be greatly appreciated! 😊

I’ve never tried to buy last-minute pit tickets before so I’m not sure how it works. The only one currently available is $2618, which is a bit outside my budget 😂 how much should I expect to pay? Thanks
