Late August Void into early Sept reschedule

Context is that I'm retaking with a section split where everything except CARS was great.

I'm thinking I'll book my exam for like Aug 22 and if I don't feel good about CARS again I can void + reschedule for any September date I can scramble and find.

Has anyone pulled this off + what to do to maximize my chances?

Psych major looking for biology research

I'm a psychological sciences major with about 2 years of cellular biology research at a state school. Looking for a project that's somewhat related to my research background and my later interests (I'm premed) but not my major.

Is this something that will hold me back or will it be understood that I have the course background to do fine as long as I make it clear I'm premed?

Premed struggling to find ENT gap year jobs

Title basically.

I'm a premed who just graduated from a T10 university, but I'm struggling to find any postings for ENT research assistant positions. I know it's late but I've been looking since April and have been getting fewer responses & interviews. I really wanted clinical research positions within ENT but haven't been able to find any in the US honestly.

As ENT physicians and residents, what would you say are some good adjacent fields I should look into that would still help me build my application for ENT residency at this stage?

I would really appreciate some guidance!

Jack Westin CARS or LSAT prep

Jack Westin CARS just sucks lmao. I feel like their logic is just sometimes inconsistent and the correct answers can be insane reaches at times compared to the AAMC CARS QPacks.

I was thinking at this point is it better to just do LSAT prep to get better at CARS? Saw a few reddit posts about these but they're very old so I wanted to see if anyone else tried this strategy and whether it worked.

Thoughts on Hinge email draft

My friend took my phone and sent inappropriate messages to my Hinge matches, and I've been banned for like 2 years now. I know it's a long shot but I still wanted to send this email draft to appeal my ban. Any thoughts?

Hello,

I am writing to appeal the ban on my Hinge account and to respectfully request a human review.

I created my Hinge account in (month, year), and I have genuinely enjoyed using the platform since then. My experience has allowed me to connect with people meaningfully and I have always strived to be respectful with my matches.

In (month, year), my account was banned. I later learned that a friend, who borrowed my phone to make a call, sent a few inappropriate messages to some of my matches. I was unaware of this at the time and had no opportunity to prevent it. My initial appeal through the app was denied.

I understand Hinge has a responsibility to maintain a safe environment, and I completely support that mission. At the same time, I hope you will consider the context: any messages that may have violated Hinge's guidelines took place within a very short time period, while all prior conversations were respectful and appropriate.

Hinge has been a very important part of my college social life: I met my first girlfriend on the app, and we dated for over a year. Since our breakup, I have struggled to meet new people outside of Hinge, which speaks to how valuable the platform has been for me personally.

I sincerely hope my case could be reconsidered, taking into account my history of respectful interactions and the extenuating circumstances that led to the isolated incident. If reinstated, I can absolutely assure that my account complies with Hinge's guidelines moving forward.

Thank you so much for your consideration!

I'm applying to jobs that keep prompting me to attach a cover letter but it's optional. At this point I bet 99% of them are AI so is it even worth it to ChatGPT one if hiring managers probably know they're AI-generated too?
