Am I the only one who’s cool with the new naval system?

Everyone on this sub seems to hate the current naval system and some even say the old one was better. While the new system was buggy for the first few weeks, I think it works fine now. I really like that you have to build individual ships that can be destroyed and the addition of sea regions. I think improvements could still be made (like giving more reason to use different types of ships) but I think it’s a massive improvement to the old system and it’s much more fun to play with. I think changes could also be made to make the navy feel more impactful (like a lot of the time when I blockade the enemy I don’t know if it actually does anything). But this might just be about making UI changes that make the effects of blockades more apparent to the player. Moving troops around is a little annoying but I think it’s necessary so Britain can’t send 500 divisions to Brazil in 1836. Although I think some sort of QOL improvement could be made to make moving troops overseas easier. Like assigning a fleet to an army so whenever you move that army overseas it automatically uses that fleet. You could even set it so that the fleet you use returns to a state after it moves the troops.

Anyways Im curious if other people feel the same way or if I’m in the minority on the navy.

My French Empire playthrough

I wanted to share my French Empire playthrough. This was a pretty successful France playthrough cause I was able to get the natural borders of France by 1860. I also prevented the Springtimes of People's from ever firing. I used the state transfer tool to give Africa nice borders that I thought were fair. I also cleaned up the Balkans a little like I usually do. Normally I just give countries their historic Berlin conference borders in Africa but there's no Germany, Belgium, Italy, or Netherlands so I tried to make different borders that are still fair and look good. Also I took Norway from Sweden in a war and I used cheats to give it to Denmark for the larp.

Building Trade Centers in Every State

I’ve been building trade centers in every state but I was wondering if there was any purpose to this. Also I build trade centers based on the number on the far left when you open the build trade centers screen.

The United States got it's first Black president in in 1928 but he's racist

Was playing the United States and I got my first Black president but he's an ethno-nationalist. Also check out my U.S. game. I got investment rights in China and ended up owning the whole country. But my GDP and population has been stagnating for 20 years at this point. I don't know why but my population growth stopped in like 1900 this playthrough. I normally get much better population growth as the U.S.

Russia Playthrough

Someone on my last post asked me to post more from my last Russia playthrough so here it is. It was an interesting game cause Austria annexed Hungary and then me and my ally France went to war with Germany, Austria, and Great Britain. Also Spain got Mexico, Central America, and Portugal in their Power Bloc. Also the clean borders in Africa are because I use the state transfer tool to assign countries claims to their Berlin conference borders so Africa has nice looking borders.

Germany just kept trying

After I won a war between me (Russia) and my ally France against Germany, Austria, and Great Britain, Germany kept attacking me and so I had to keep making Germany smaller and smaller.

How to get an Imperial Victory in the Honorable Restoration?

I’m playing Japan and I’ve completed all the requirements for an Imperial Victory in the journal entry except for the Daimyo leader not being a member of the Tokugawa clan. How do I get a non-Tokugawa Daimyo leader? I don’t have the Great Waves DLC by the way. l

When does the game become too slow to keep playing for most people?

I can tolerate a pretty slow game but most recently I had to stop at 1912, but I was playing the U.S. and had a GDP of 3.7 billion. I usually can’t play past 1920 though. I use a laptop and play with a lot of mods so I was wondering if people had less performance issues than me.

Why is everyone in the late game an ethno-nationalist?

By the 1890s most generals and interest group leaders are ethno-nationalist. I keep trying to suppress them but I usually can’t get rid of them. I’m playing France and I have cultural exclusion and no migration controls but I also have this problem when I play Germany.
