Is this a glitch or the new norm?

Having no Halo Sales creates an incentive to avoid saying anything negative—even when it’s true.

With Halo Sales, you can give an honest recommendation. If someone watches your video and you tell them a product isn’t the right fit, they may still buy a similar product from another brand that better suits their needs. You still earn a commission because you helped them make the right purchase.

Without Halo Sales, that honesty costs you. If they buy a competing product instead, you earn nothing. That creates a financial incentive to recommend products that may not actually be the best choice for the customer.

I humbly request amazon reinstate halo sales, so the above doesn’t happen.

I’ve seen a lot of people saying that the New fee rates cuts, we’ll make them make low quality, less effort, Videos and obviously because 0.5% or 0.75% commission is so low it doesn’t even make any economic sense.

I think Amazon shouldn’t have cut the fees, but rather made the algorithm for selecting the videos better so the cream can rise to the top.

Do you want to have great rewards so people will be incentivized to fight and make better quality videos to get them, but for that you do need an algorithm that will select the proper videos to rise to the top.

Not to mention these new fee rates, make it nearly impossible to make any money if you purchased the products like for example I bought $1000 Segway now they get a 0.75% commission now, at the rate its moving it will take about two years to make the money back, and then you have to take into consideration this is a technology electronics product so the product lifecycle is about two years. There’s already a new version out and in another year this thing will be obsolete. I’m gonna be lucky if I can break even!

Going forwards I cannot invest in new products at these low rates, it’s not economically viable.

Btw I make great videos iv been making videos professionally for 14 years, I know my craft.

If you’re going to kill us with these rates then at-least make our cookies still count when there is an offsite cookie.
Because if a client comes from offsite and still has to watch a video to be convinced to buy then we deserve that transaction, because our help was required.

Im not saying dont pay the offsite people, im saying pay both.

These new low commissions are really ridiculous.
How can I influence $430 worth of sales and only get $1.89 in total.
At this rate it will take me 5 months to get the product cost back…

By the way, it’s a little bit less than 0.5% because I had a couple returns…

Let’s be realistic here at 0.5% commission you have to move 200 units just to be able to get back the money from your initial purchase of the product if you purchased it.
We’re not even talking about making a profit there.

I honestly think 0.5% commission is too low.
Common amazon please bring it up to 1% this is too much of a gut punch.

I’m a little worried, considering the drastic drop in income, that maybe Halo sales is defined as even different colors or different accessory packages.
Can anybody confirm that you’re getting sales for different accessory packages or different colors?

Are we still getting paid for variations?
