How best to spend my time during sick leave.

As the title suggests, I’m looking for some productive ways to spend the next 6 weeks - 3 months whilst I’m on sick leave from work having had spinal surgery. It’s been 2 days and although I am very limited with movement, I’d love to take this time a bit more productively than laying on he couch (as much as I can post surgery obviously). Has anyone got any recommendations for new skills, hobbies etc that I could focus on?

Microdiscectomy

I am currently waiting for a surgery date for a microdiscectomy and I’d love to hear some experiences (hopefully very successful ones) from people that have had the procedure.
I’m 30M and almost looking forward to the surgery due to various back issues over the years but since the neurosurgeon explained that he’s be removing the full disc rather than just the protruding portion, I’ve been second guessing almost if it is the right decision to get it done.
Any advice or stories from people that have had similar would be very appreciated.

Speakeasy’s

I’m in Rome over the weekend and curious as to whether anyone has had any experiences with speakeasy’s in the city? If so, any recommendations?

Tours for a short trip?

I am going to Rome on Friday 15th as a bit of a last minute trip. I am wanting to do a couple of tours and have so far booked up for the Colosseum guided tour. I have had a Quick Look for the Vatican museum and basilica etc but they are so far showing as very expensive. Is there a way of doing these on a budget or does anyone have any alternative attractions that might be more worthwhile seeing on a 4 day trip? Thanks in advance!
