Ghosted by girl
Need honest opinions — did I come across as needy or was this normal?
So I’ve been talking to this girl from work-ish circle and the vibe seemed pretty good overall. She initiates conversations sometimes, uses emojis, asks questions back, etc.
Yesterday she texted me:
“Hiii, good afternoon! How you doing? How was the bday celebration/dinner yesterday?😇”
I replied:
“Hi Good afternoon
Yeah it was good 😊”
Then I asked:
“Can we connect today in the evening when you’re free?”
Later she replied:
“Heyy
I just got home. I will ping you in some time for call 😅”
I replied:
“Sure”
Then around 2.5 hours later I sent:
“Free now?”
She never replied that night.
Next morning she texted:
“Hey, good morning!
I dozed off quite early yesterday 😆
In office now!
Whats up with u?”
So technically she didn’t ghost me, but I still feel like I messed up the vibe somehow.
Did I:
- move too fast toward a call?
- sound needy with the “Free now?” text?
- kill the conversation flow?
- or am I overthinking this completely?
Would appreciate honest feedback, especially from people good at texting/dating dynamics.
