Is there someone from an ‘enemy’ country who was so incompetent that it was actually good for your country?

Meet Lieutenant General Renya Mutaguchi.

He is widely known as one of the most incompetent military figures in history.

He actually said something like: “The Japanese people are herbivores so there is no need to pack food for soldiers. They can survive by eating plants in the wild. And if they are really hungry, they can get food by killing their horses.” As a result, about 85000 troops died because of insufficient food and supplies (surprise, surprise).

Oh, and he is also credited with causing the second Sino-Japanese war.

There are many other things he did but in short, the damage this guy inflicted on the Imperial Japanese army (directly and indirectly) is bigger than all the Korean freedom fighters COMBINED. He is jokingly referred to as ‘the freedom fighter of darkness’ because of his amazing feat to Korea’s independence.

One last word from dear Mutaguchi:

“ I’m not incompetent. My subordinates were the problem.”

(I wrote Japan as Korea’s ‘enemy’ country because it was ‘Imperial’ Japan, not just Japan. Of course, modern Japan is Korea’s partner)

I bought this ‘real’ VKBO for 50000 krw(about 40$ then, 35?$ now). It looks okay to me, but the color scheme(?) is kinda weird. I thought VKBOs were more green? looking and I don‘t think an authentic VKBO would only cost 40$

Oh, and the patches were separately bought, so they might be fake
