12 month sleep regression
Our little one has been fighting her naps and bedtime the last 2 weeks. Prior to this she was independent going to sleep from about 9 months old.
We would go through bedtime routine bottle, bath, book and then off to bed walk out and close the door and she would put herself to sleep.
The last 2 weeks have been a different story. She is standing up in her cot straight away, crying and screaming. This will go on for hours if you let it. We've resorted to cuddling her to sleep, but now I'm worried we're building a sleep association. Some days she is still doing 1 nap independently (usually morning) but the afternoon and bedtime shes fighting.
I have thought about dropping her to one nap, but I honestly don't think she's ready for that.
She's getting about 2.5 hours of nap during the day.
Waking around 7 and bed was half 7-8.
She will be 13 months at the end of the week.
I'm worried we're going to start a sleep association, but I'm honestly not sure what we can do as nothing stops the crying except cuddles. I thought it was overtiredness at first and we went through quite a tight schedule, she slept through the night last night but I'm stuck on how to get her back to being independent.
Anything about her bedtime routine is a trigger now, going into her sleep sack, putting on her white noise, giving her her animal comforter she starts crying.
