Booked Aer Lingus via Kiss&Fly – Support says it’s a "Charter Flight" and I won't get an airline PNR. Is this legit or a scam?
Hi everyone,
I recently booked a one-way flight from Naples (NAP) to Dublin (DUB) for July 19th through the OTA Kiss&Fly.
I received a confirmation document, but the PNR code provided inside the PDF does not work on the official Aer Lingus website. It says "Confirming" next to the flight details.
I contacted their customer support via WhatsApp, and the agent told me that this specific flight has been scheduled as a charter flight / allotted seat. Because of this, they claim:
- I will NOT receive a standard 6-digit Aer Lingus PNR.
- I cannot manage the booking or check-in online via the airline's website.
- I just need to show up at the airport 3 hours before departure with the agency's itinerary PDF and my passport to do a physical check-in at the desk for free.
Has anyone ever experienced this with Kiss&Fly or Aer Lingus? Is it normal for an OTA to sell charter blocks on a standard commercial route like this, or am I being ghosted/scammed?
Should I wait it out or immediately call my bank for a chargeback?
Thanks for any advice!
