THE USS LINCOLN EXPERIENCE.
Those who call the sailors of the Lincoln ‘weak’ deserve to be put in Davey Jones’s Locker. We salute you sailors for your selfless service.

In the not too distant future, a Second Great Depression had started to plague the entire world with the United States being the hardest hit as a result of the U.S. Dollar’s major decline in value. As calls for systemic change grew louder and louder amongst the U.S. population, extreme ideologies became mainstream. After a contentious presidential election, the incumbent president refused to step down from power which caused a military coup de’tat to take place. When the incumbent president was killed in the midst of the coup, the president’s supporters in the southern and midwestern states seized total control of each state government and declared secession from the Union. Immediately after declaring secession, troops aligned with the self proclaimed ‘Republic’ attacked federal military installations in Texas, Kansas, Missouri, Georgia and the Carolinas. After witnessing the president-elect running on the significant reduction of military spending, the military junta that recently seized control of D.C. saw the incoming president as a liability in a war and thus refused to cede power until the civil war has concluded. The president-elect along with congressional members that fled D.C. during the coup had set up a government in exile known as the ‘Commonwealth’ which serves as refuge for civilians fleeing westward and aims to restore democracy from sea to shining sea. Alaska, not wanting to fight for either faction of the civil war, votes to join Canada as a province where the Canadian government relocates American refugees.
Is it possible to switch from active duty to national guard prior to shipping out to basic? For my enlistment, active duty was able to acquire a psych waiver and while I'm willing to accept Active service, I'm still curious about the Guard and whether or not it's possible to make the switch. Can it be done if my enlistment required a waiver?
How likely is it for an 11B fresh out of OSUT to get Fort Irwin, CA (NTC) as their first duty station?
Edit: I know this is reservist thread, but I’m banned from r/army
Even a single tiny blister gained from one ruck march could mess up your day and possibly future ruck marches going forward. What is recommended to do for your feet prior to every ruck march? Foot powder, type of socks, or something else?
These are the designs of the contestants for the U.S. Army’s XM30 program to succeed the Bradley. Apparently General Dynamics is going for a sleek and simple approach while Rheinmetall has gone for a merge between IFV and MBT. Which design has the right idea?
I’m about to swear in Monday morning, but I’m torn between going Active Duty 11B or Reserves 12B. What’s the day to day life of an engineer in the reserves? Is Sapper School an option while in the reserves? How easy would it be to switch to active duty from the reserves?
