The New York Times puzzle, Connections, always has at least one clue designed to annoy British people. The connection will be something like “Things served with grits at an Arkansas pot roast”, “MLB pre-season Philly draft picks”, “Local PBS affiliates in the Tri-county area” or something as equally unintelligible if you weren’t raised saluting the Stars and Stripes.

Sure it probably raises the ire of Canadians, Indians, Aussies, Irish, Kiwis etc. too, but they’re collateral damage. They’re coming for the Brits.
