Advice before considering Botox?

Hi everyone, I’m new here and honestly really emotional finding this community. After reading through a lot of posts and researching R-CPD, I really think this is what I’ve been dealing with my whole life. As long as I can remember I’ve never really been able to burp instead I get the throat gurgles/croaking noises that a lot of you describe. Finding out this is an actual condition and that I’m not the only person dealing with it was honestly such a relief.

Lately my symptoms seem to have gotten worse. I’ve been getting a lot more pressure/discomfort in my chest and upper stomach area which I’m learning is probably trapped air/gas. I started trying the “air vomiting” trick people talk about and it does relieve the pressure but now I’m noticing some soreness/pain around my chest afterward. The burps/bleches that come out are usually really strong and loud if that matters.

So I wanted to ask:

Is chest soreness after air vomiting normal or could I be doing something wrong?

Are there safer/better ways to relieve trapped air?

Has anyone had success teaching themselves to burp or “microburp” before getting botox?

Any tips, exercises, positions, stretches, etc. that helped you?

I know botox/diagnosis seems to be the main treatment route and I’m open to it eventually but since all of this is still really new to me I wanted to see what else people have tried first.

Thanks in advance genuinely grateful this community exists.
