I’m 57. Spent 30+ years in a different industry. Zero business experience.Got obsessed with lipstick packaging 6 months ago. Hated how every tube feels like cheap plastic. So I designed my own in metal. Got my first sample yesterday. Cost me 4,800 just for samples. Factory wants 12$/unit for 500 units. I have $20K saved. Tomorrow I have to decide: Wire the money and risk my savings, or walk away. I’m terrified I’ll fail. My family thinks I’m crazy. If it flops, I’m screwed. But if I don’t try, I’ll regret it forever. Not SELLING ANYTHING. Just need honest advice from people who’ve been here . Would you risk it? What am I not seeing? AMA- I’ll answer everything.
