Are these fresh water algae eaters …. Reproducing?
I bought 2 from petsmart about 2 months ago. To help keep my aquarium/tub turtle tub clear of algae.
Usually they are separate doing their thing.
But this morning…. They have their soft parts together(sorry don’t know the terminology) and have been chilling together for so far 2 hours.
They are well fed, an algae wafer every other day and plenty to structure to keep them busy cleaning.
My 60+ year old box turtle leaves them alone and the fish ( small algae eaters) I have in there don’t bother them either.
Just curious.
Circle of life and all that.
Like if I do a water change, will I be “throwing the baby out with the bath water?”
