LOGIC:
Q. Do you find that truth and understanding of systems in life are an important aspect that should be highly valued? How do you usually go about learning and forming an understanding of a concept?
A.Truth and understanding of systems is as valued as much as it can serve me. Seldom do I try to understand systems without an agenda in mind. In my opinion truth is a simple and universal idea which allows for flexibility. I don't think it should be valued in a way that creates rigidity. When concepts/abstraction have a practical application I think its easier to understand.
Q. How easily do you find yourself changing opinions or viewpoints? What sorts of things can influence your views the most/least?
A. I dont know how to answer this question. Sometimes it changes easily, sometimes I dont think it matters if I change my mind or not. Evolving circumstances(information available) or desires may cause opinions to shift. I'm less likely to change my mind if it conflicts with something I want or my direction, “it doesn’t matter if what I want makes sense to you or not”.
Q. Are you more likely to assume that you’re right or wrong about an issue? Is it important for you to always be right? How easy is it for you to admit it when you’re wrong?
A. I'm more likely to assume I am correct. Right and wrong is generally determined by what I want to accomplish. Logically some view those goals as not “logical” and my methods as not the most optimal. This is usually fine with me, so in THIS sense its not important to be “right”. If I can see that my logic can be shifted to benefit a goal better then I can admit I'm wrong so thats not to say consistency doesn't serve a purpose or has no value. I don't think it is “very” important to me.
Q. How do you react when someone disagrees with you during a logical debate? How do you go about defending your beliefs, if at all? Do these types of situations make you doubt your views easily?
A. generally I don't feel a need to convince anyone of anything during a debate or defend my position. I may state my view clearly, iterate why we disagree and then give them permission to disagree. Other times I’m just not interested in a debate. Rarely does this make me doubt my views. I may get frustrated when pushed to explain my own logic and I don't really engage in elaborate speculation. I may play devil's advocate if I have information that conflicts, getting to the bottom of disagreements can be necessary even if I don’t have a viewpoint in mind. I find it easier to explain someone else view.
Q. How do you feel about debating logical chains and evidence? (Can discussions and debates help you sort your thoughts out, or are you more likely to see them as unnecessary? Do you find debates more stressful or fun?)
A. I find it useful to inquire what others think if I'm curious but for the most part I find this unnecessary.
Q. Do you feel the need to explain your own logical understanding to others? Do you feel the need to have others explain their understandings to you?
A. Unless someone asks or I think they can benefit from me explaining my understanding to them, generally I don't feel a strong need to explain anything. Vice versa.
VOLITION:
Q. Do you consider yourself to be a naturally motivated person? What helps motivate you? Do you need others to motivate you and/or provide incentives for you to work?
A. I am naturally motivated, I am motivated by the things that I want. Usually nothing else. Growing up parents incentivizing me to do things was always a struggle. Even attempts to take away my autonomy resulted in me finding away around. If I happen to do things for others it’s out of goodwill, im not entirely selfish.
Q. Are you someone who has a clear sense of direction and purpose? Is this something that matters to you? What do you gain a sense of meaning from?
A. Generally I do have a sense of direction and purpose. The details aren't always important. Its something i want and believe should be and anything in between (in my view) is arbitrary. Some have said I get tunnel vision.
Q. How is your relationship with goals? Do you often share them with others (or help others with their goals)? Are you self-assured in what you set out to do, or are you more indecisive and/or easily persuaded by what others around you want?
A. I have a good relationship with my goals, i dont hesitate to go after what I want. I’m not a very chatty person in general but i don’t mind sharing my goals if it comes up. With those I love I'm still generous with my time and effort. I can help others or push others towards certain goals if it works for me or if i care about them. Usually what I think is best for them regardless of what they want but I'm self assured in my direction and usually too self focused to habitually help others or talk about what’s going on in my life. Regardless, my goals are still unlikely to change unless I realize something better.
Q. Are you bothered by failures and setbacks? How do you deal with them when they come up?
A. They bother me but they don't discourage me. Sometimes i may get angry or moody but i am persistent. My emotional response can be pretty heavy from bottling up frustration. You just push through them, where there is a will there is a way.
Q. Are you someone who easily competes for things you truly desire? How do you feel about others telling you what to do, or trying to insert their desires into yours?
A. I will compete for something i want if i have to. I have kind of a wall up, it usually doesn't bother me, I just dont do it if i dont want to and if we are in agreement then I do it. Not that it’s never annoying, I often respond with my own desires especially with persistent people.
Q. How do you tend to act when you are part of a team? Are you more of a leader or a follower (or neither)? Do you have an easy time working cooperatively with others?
A. I usually assume the role of a leader. But I'm also socially awkward and don't like cooperating in a social sense, like being chatty. Even if i am part of a team, i forget i am part of a team. I can’t think of many times i saw myself as part of a team unless i was leading it.
Q. Do you consider yourself to be someone with a firm sense of identity? How do you feel when other people assert their ideas about who you are?
A. I’m pretty firm in who I am. But there is an emotional/sentimental side to identity that can be a bit murky.
Specifically with people I want to be close with, I do care. People making certain assessments of me puts up a wall between me and them. They see the person who they want to see rather than who I really am. 99% of the time with other people I don’t really care though, if it’s wrong I know it’s wrong and move on.
PHYSICS:
Q. How important are factors such as clothing, hygiene, and appearance to your everyday life? Do you feel confident in your body and tastes? Are you often swayed by trends and the opinions of others in terms of fashion and aesthetics?
A. Clothing, hygiene and appearance are all important. I pay attention to what i wear and I'm interested in the fitment, cut, colors(not a colorful person though), materials and if its functional/comfortable and i like exploring new looks, ive gone through MANY. I have a lot of tattoos. Hygiene is also important and what the products i use are made with. I feel confident in my tastes and my body but i dont like to be immodest with my confidence. I dont let my confidence keep me from experimentation and branching out to new things. I wouldn't say I'm swayed but I'm attentive, I ask others for input and may look at what others are wearing for ideas.
Q. How do you handle your senses being disturbed? Are you sensitive to problems like discomfort, sickness, and pain? (Or are you unaware/able to push past them/etc..)
A. I'm aware but I'm also able to adapt to them, e.g, I can ignore hunger for a day or two if i have to or tattoos, while painfull can be endured. Generally I sense when I am getting sick or something doesn't feel right but its not terribly important. Sometimes that means finding a way around it or accepting it for the moment. Most of the time its not a big deal.
Q. How is your relationship with physical activity? Are you someone who naturally desires a more comfortable and inert lifestyle, or do you have a hard time staying still? Do you find external encouragement and incentives for taking care of your body useful?
A. I can be very restless, my parents have a 4 year old pull up bar on their doorway because they know when i come over i get restless. I couldn't imagine not living actively, sometimes my body hurts and aches because I haven't been active enough. I don't need encouragement or incentives to take care of my body. I can still relax sometimes but its not a goal of mine and i get bored.
Q. Do you enjoy pushing yourself to try new foods, activities, or styles? How picky are you regarding these things, and what helps you decide what you want to explore?
A. I like trying new things as long as it doesn't take me away from my goals. For example, I don't like sugary food or junk food, it makes me feel like shit but i like trying new ways to cook. I like trying new styles but not everything works with my proportions and requires adaptation, alteration or just letting it go. I try to avoid buying polymer based fabrics because fuck plastic. I can be picky because the details do matter. I wont try a new bar because i dont drink, but i will try new workouts/gyms or positions and methods if you get what i mean.
Q. How is your relationship with your physical environment? Are you usually attuned to your surroundings? Is being organized something that matters to you and/or comes naturally? How do you feel when another person enters your space and tries to help you with it? (e.g. by cleaning)
A. Im not indifferent to disorganization but i am also easily distracted especially when I'm focused on my pursuits and the house may get a bit messy. For days on end I may only really be home to sleep and shower and then gone. I do notice the mess but other things take priority. I dont mind other people helping me stay organized, im also pretty minimalistic. I keep things simple and organic, its not super important but not unimportant.
Q. How do you handle your finances and possessions? Is this an area of ease in your life, or do you find yourself becoming overly reckless or stingy? Do you consider yourself to be a materialistic person?
A. Finances and possessions are easy to manage. I don’t think I am reckless or stingy. I can have moments of splurging but I take consideration of what’s important and I spend responsibly. I don’t necessarily consider myself over materialistic in the sense that I give it a lot of importance. But material things are something I frequently enjoy navigating. For example I like to try different clothes and styles so I’ve accumulated many clothes but my clothes are not necessarily part of my identity, likewise with my possessions. I have a nice customized motorcycle but I don’t often share or talk about it. I post it here and there because it’s nice but my possessions are not who I am.
Q. How do you react to criticism or advice regarding how you handle any of the above things?
A. I don’t take offense. I do dislike when people try to push me to give more importance to it than it should. Like some people worship money and I don’t agree with that. It’s a useful tool but I don’t believe it’s the end, it’s only the means to the end. I’m always open to criticism and new ideas about this stuff, I'll consider it but I don’t always agree.
EMOTIONS:
Q. Does self-expression come naturally to you? What emotions do you find easier or harder to express? What goals do you have when dealing with your levels of emotional expression, if any?
A. Generally I don't think it comes naturally. Anger is the easiest to express and probably the most natural, ive been described as reactive. The hardest is probably sentimental emotions that require vulnerability. Even happiness for a long time was and still is hard to express, i used to hold back smiles and force my mouth shut awkwardly. Excitement is usually erratically and aggressively expressed. All in all emotional expression can be irregular, from difficult to uncontrolled. Im not sure what the last question means.
Q. Are you someone who is in touch with their inner emotional world? Are you good at understanding how you feel about something and why? Do you find others’ insight into how you are/should be feeling beneficial?
A. I think I am somewhat in touch with my emotional world. It doesn't come naturally and I don't always understand how I feel about something but I make an effort. I'm not in touch but I try to be so I kind of am? I can be skeptical of other people's insight, its not really something I accept simply. I might not know how I feel but i dont think someone else would either. Empathy is cool as a concept or buzzword but i dont believe it exists in reality. I still appreciate insight.
Q. How good are you at balancing your focus between your own emotions and the emotions of others? Are you more naturally attuned to others’ feelings and reactions, or to your own?
A. Its pretty awkward. I am not entirely ignorant of others' reactions but I have a hard time assessing what it means sometimes. Probably more attuned to my own. I dont think i have a good answer, i dont really know.
Q. How easily caught up on specific feelings do you become? Do you value being able to detach yourself from your emotions? (And is this something you’re good at?)
A. Over time ive realized I can get caught up in my anger without really realizing. My entire life i was told i get mad too easily/often or to watch my tone and I didn't understand. To me it is more of a visceral energy. I perform well under stress and so i know it can be beneficial to detach from emotions. I am okay at it but as ive said I can also be reactive or uncontrolled in other moments but i feel like this is a result of prolonged detachment. I think there are many downsides to emotional detachment too. Being good at it is determined by knowing when and when not to detach.
Q. How do you normally react when someone shares their emotions with you? Do you enjoy handling situations like these?
A. I can be awkward and lack a true response. I might be dismissive or give an awkwardly expressed response. Once i was told “you look good today” and i said “i know” more out of ignorance of what I should say than arrogance. I've gotten better but I'm still pretty awkward and unless I directly ask id rather people just not share their feelings with me. I don't enjoy these situations, especially if people ask me to share my emotions with them too.
Q. When others are speaking on topics regarding emotion, are you more inclined to express, engage, or pull away? Do you adjust to emotional atmospheres, or do you feel more separate from them? How comfortable are you with conversations focused on emotional vulnerability?
A. Its hit or miss. Sometimes I am inclined to engage, other times ive walked out of groups when the topic turns emotional. Generally i feel very detached from emotional environments, its why i dont like evangelical churches or concerts. I feel like i cant assimilate to the atmosphere, sometimes when I'm at church its like a constipated turd. I'm generally uncomfortable and rather not talk about that stuff but i can push through it. Sometimes its easier to speak on events that it is to share how i felt about them, i guess thats a round about way.
LOGIC:
Do you find that truth and understanding of systems in life are an important aspect that should be highly valued? How do you usually go about learning and forming an understanding of a concept?
I think there's some nuance here. I do believe that truth is important and should be valued and because of that I believe that at times systems can be misleading and result in things untrue. I do believe its important to understand systems otherwise how am I to determine if a system is misleading and how it should or should not be applied, right? I understand concepts through testing them by cross referencing with other concepts, bouncing these ideas off other people and observing the patterns in a realistic/practical way or seeing it from multiple perspectives. I tend to never be sure if I really understand a concept and will do this process abundantly.
How easily do you find yourself changing opinions or viewpoints? What sorts of things can influence your views the most/least?
I will change viewpoints quite easily as new information is revealed. Knowing this about myself i may also refrain from settling on an opinion or viewpoint. What is least likely to change my mind is poorly made arguments with an agenda in mind, even if it is an agenda I agree with. Finding holes in my own viewpoint are likely to begin the process of changing viewpoints, as is a well argued point. I try to play devil's advocate with myself.
Are you more likely to assume that you’re right or wrong about an issue? Is it important for you to always be right? How easy is it for you to admit it when you’re wrong?
I am likely to assume i may possibly be wrong but that doesn't mean I believe others are right. I don’t tend to see other people as more correct than I but possibly having information I don’t. Its important for me to be right in terms of holding an accurate view in general. It can be difficult to admit i am wrong and i may get frustrated but this doesnt happen often as i dont always have a view that i believe to be “right”.
How do you react when someone disagrees with you during a logical debate? How do you go about defending your beliefs, if at all? Do these types of situations make you doubt your views easily?
Sometimes rather than defending my beliefs I attack the others' beliefs by poking holes in their argument where I can. Not so much out of spite but to test the other persons belief, if they are right then their logic should hold up. Otherwise I may elaborate and give more information on my view. There is also times I react aggressively or frustrated if it was personal to begin with, I can be an asshole. These situations may trigger some doubt about my assessment. I have a harder time defending my opinion while I am now reconsidering. This is why I may react on the offensive rather than defensive.
How do you feel about debating logical chains and evidence? (Can discussions and debates help you sort your thoughts out, or are you more likely to see them as unnecessary? Do you find debates more stressful or fun?)
I don’t mind and they can be helpful so long as it’s not personal. I may engage in debates or discussions even if I don’t have a viewpoint for the reason of sorting things out, bouncing ideas off other people, seeing what they think and so on. I don’t think of this as fun so much as I think it’s helpful. I don’t always trust “evidence” just depends on what it is.
Do you feel the need to explain your own logical understanding to others? Do you feel the need to have others explain their understandings to you?
I do feel a need to explain my understanding to others but I don’t always. Sometimes I view the idea as “not ready yet” or sometimes I think it’s pointless because I don’t believe that someone will understand. I do like when others explain their understanding.
VOLITION:
Do you consider yourself to be a naturally motivated person? What helps motivate you? Do you need others to motivate you and/or provide incentives for you to work?
I do consider myself naturally motivated. What helps motivate me is wanting that thing. People have tried to incentivize me towards something but if I don’t want it then I don’t want it.
Are you someone who has a clear sense of direction and purpose? Is this something that matters to you? What do you gain a sense of meaning from?
For the most part I'd say I have a general sense of purpose and direction. Although im not sure if i would characterize them as “clear” or detailed. Its a bit more instinctive than that and can be a bit vauge. If you’ve played video games I’d describe it as a an arrow floating over the character rather than the GPS route you get in other games. I simply know what I want.
How is your relationship with goals? Do you often share them with others (or help others with their goals)? Are you self-assured in what you set out to do, or are you more indecisive and/or easily persuaded by what others around you want?
I often set goals but sometimes they're more like intentions. Im not really one to share my goals, i dont find it necessary unless someone is actively present or involved. I do help people with their goals if theyre the same as mine. I also push people towards what i think is good for them. I am pretty self assured and im not one to fall for peer pressure. i wouldnt characterize myself as indecisive but i have my moments. I might take my time to consider certain things.
Are you bothered by failures and setbacks? How do you deal with them when they come up?
I can be an impatient person, generally speaking I tend to power through setbacks. It really depends, im a pretty active person so physical failure is pretty normal. Sometimes i tend to jump into things quickly and make mistakes and they dont bother me, it might just be annoying. I may slip, fall or short circuit my motorcycle, i have an easy time staying optimistic. I enjoy challenges in life. I feel my strongest during these moments.
Are you someone who easily competes for things you truly desire? How do you feel about others telling you what to do, or trying to insert their desires into yours?
I don’t see how someone else wanting something I also want could ever or would ever stop me from getting what I want. I much prefer people asking me to do something, i am much more likely to say yes. People acting like they are entitled to my compliance can be annoying. As long as something doesnt contradict what i want its fine. I mean worst case scenario i just dont do what they told me.
How do you tend to act when you are part of a team? Are you more of a leader or a follower (or neither)? Do you have an easy time working cooperatively with others?
I’ve never liked teams, I always preferred independent sports and I opted to do things alone. Ive never considered myself a follower, I will sometimes assume leadership, sometimes it just evolves into that. The times that ive turned down leadership positions was to avoid assimilating into a team. I can be pretty cooperative.
Do you consider yourself to be someone with a firm sense of identity? How do you feel when other people assert their ideas about who you are?
I think I have a firm sense of identity. People asserting their ideas about who I am can seem odd. I’m not sure where or how they develop these ideas especially because I’m not the most open book there is.
PHYSICS:
How important are factors such as clothing, hygiene, and appearance to your everyday life? Do you feel confident in your body and tastes? Are you often swayed by trends and the opinions of others in terms of fashion and aesthetics?
I would say these things are pretty important and i pay attention to them but i wouldnt say im high maintenance. I feel confident in my body so long as i stay moving. Something about staying still for too long makes me feel uncomfortable. I wouldnt say im often swayed by trends but i am attentive and sometimes i implement some stuff.
How do you handle your senses being disturbed? Are you sensitive to problems like discomfort, sickness, and pain? (Or are you unaware/able to push past them/etc..)
I tend to push past these things. I go full days without eating if i didnt get a chance and thats fine. I wouldnt say im entirely unaware i think i just ignore it.
How is your relationship with physical activity? Are you someone who naturally desires a more comfortable and inert lifestyle, or do you have a hard time staying still? Do you find external encouragement and incentives for taking care of your body useful?
I have a hard time staying still. The hard part is sometimes not working out. People ask me how i stay motivated and the truth is i just love it. Thats not to say incentives like looking good dont help, they play a factor. If I lost my legs tomorrow I’d find a way. In fact I had my dominant hand immobilized for a couple months and I still found a way to deadlift and do pull ups.
Do you enjoy pushing yourself to try new foods, activities, or styles? How picky are you regarding these things, and what helps you decide what you want to explore?
I like trying new things, except for smelly fish. I get bored easily and that drives me to discover new things. Im really not too picky, usually accessibility helps determine what to try first. Sometimes it just about what i want to accomplish. For example i have little to no interest in pastries and sweets, it doesnt suit my goal. Proteins are something i eat alot because i work out so i tend to think of that stuff first. Likewise with styles and activities. I am more likely to think of work outs to try before something like going to a new bar or concert, both of which i have little to no interest in.
How is your relationship with your physical environment? Are you usually attuned to your surroundings? Is being organized something that matters to you and/or comes naturally? How do you feel when another person enters your space and tries to help you with it? (e.g. by cleaning)
I can be a little negligent, i get busy and i dont really have time to pick up and clean. I am aware of the mess i just dont get to it. I used to pay my sister to clean my house when she was young and didnt have a job so it doesnt bother me to have someone else do it. Being disorganized does not bother me too much but there is a threshold for what i can tolerate. I do enjoy cleaning, its just not a top priority especially not having guests often. I do hate a mowed lawn, i dont think it looks good, i love when vegetation is well grown so mowing my lawn is always disappointing. I intend to plant flowers or something.
How do you handle your finances and possessions? Is this an area of ease in your life, or do you find yourself becoming overly reckless or stingy? Do you consider yourself to be a materialistic person?
I think this is easy for me to handle. I can be materialistic but I don’t give materialism a lot of importance. I donate a lot of my clothes and I’m not obsessed over accumulating wealth like some of my friends are. I’m not stingy unless I’m running low on funds, I may refrain until after my bills are paid or saving for something specific but I’d say I’m responsible rather than stingy. I’ve spent more than I should have from time to time but it was well calculated.
How do you react to criticism or advice regarding how you handle any of the above things?
I don’t take offense. I understand that some of my fitness habits are not the most optimal but it doesn’t matter that much, I’m funmaxxing. I find it funny when people who are in poor shape criticize my habits but it doesn’t bother me. I’m pretty self assured and I always welcome input, I may even ask about other peoples experiences but I am likely to disagree. I understand my way isn’t the only or even the best way to do things. I don’t recommend my methods to all. This is something I love to discuss, especially with other open minded people.
EMOTIONS:
Does self-expression come naturally to you? What emotions do you find easier or harder to express? What goals do you have when dealing with your levels of emotional expression, if any?
Self expression does not come naturally. Anger is easy to express. There’s nothing else i could say.
Are you someone who is in touch with their inner emotional world? Are you good at understanding how you feel about something and why? Do you find others’ insight into how you are/should be feeling beneficial?
I am not someone in touch with my emotions. I’ve said before than I might just not have a lot of them. I try to be introspective at times because i understand this deficiency. Sometimes talking it out with others can help but I really do think I’m just not a very emotionally deep person.
How good are you at balancing your focus between your own emotions and the emotions of others? Are you more naturally attuned to others’ feelings and reactions, or to your own?
I think I am more attuned to others than myself but that doesn’t say much. I’m pretty awkward sometimes. But I tend to mirror emotions. If someone is really chatty with me I am likely to mirror that, or if someone is stand offish I may be as well. I don’t do well in very emotional environments, like concerts. Most of my relationships have been somewhat accidental, mostly because a girl liked me and so I picked it up, they fail when I realize that I don’t actually know how I feel or when I realize I don’t actually feel anything.
How easily caught up on specific feelings do you become? Do you value being able to detach yourself from your emotions? (And is this something you’re good at?)
Im good at detaching myself from emotions, especially during times of stress. I performed very well when under stress. I may get caught up when angry but I don’t necessarily feel angry. I am usually still ignorant of the fact that I am angry. I value being able to detach from my emotions in some ways. In other ways I actually quite admire people who are so in touch with their emotions. Life is kind of black and white when you’re so detached.
How do you normally react when someone shares their emotions with you? Do you enjoy handling situations like these?
I don’t enjoy handling these situations, I don’t really know what to tell people. I am likely to offer solutions. Sometimes I ask if they want solutions or support but I’m not good at supporting people’s emotions.
When others are speaking on topics regarding emotion, are you more inclined to express, engage, or pull away? Do you adjust to emotional atmospheres, or do you feel more separate from them? How comfortable are you with conversations focused on emotional vulnerability?
I may engage but I probably won’t say much. I can adjust to the atmosphere to an extent. If we start getting closer to hysterical levels i will probably disengage. It’s mostly about disinterest and maybe some discomfort. Im not very comfortable with emotional vulnerability on my part. Its kind of an exhausting topic.
im currently between a few types. im somewhat confident in VFLE but I see VLFE, LFVE, FLVE as other options too.
some of this stuff may or may not be archetypal feel free to let me know what might work best but really wanna know about contradictions, especially with PY some of these I’m really not super sure about.
edit: VFLE is PY not AP
Here is my line up. Having a hard time deciding between Sp or So subtype. Especially after reading Lajuria. Really the only thing that Sp had going for it was that it was the more “reserved” of the 8s. I don’t identify with the hedonism of the Sp8 or materialism as described. I do have ideals apart from physical needs or wealth. Which I don’t talk about, sometimes I hint at them, except with those I consider of “equal caliber”… I appreciated the Sp description because it paints the 8 more so in the work force while the So8 seems to only be a revolutionary activist or a mafioso. In this way I identified with Sp8 because I am not in fact currently a revolutionary activist or mafia boss lmfao. Not that I’m opposed of being either one.
I also did not identify with the So8s high level of extroversion, I was never necessarily a very social person and for the most part I think I’m pretty reserved. While I have had friends, within those group dynamics I usually assume leadership however small that may be, others often had a high esteem of me. However I am currently not actively in any kind of explicit leadership position. People usually say I’m “too dry” to be an So8 whatever the fuck that means. But I do think I deeply resonate with So8s description other than those conflicting characteristics. I do like to live intensely, sometimes that is physically but most often it is psychologically.
I also don’t see myself being FLVE. I have known 1Fs and that level of neediness is something I see as weak. After reading portions of Syntax of Love I got the impression that 1Fs are strong of body but when that physicality is broken they crumble. Illness or injury being enough for them to spiral. I don’t relate to this, through injury or physical failure I remain positive and flexible, finding new ways to overcome and accomplish my goals. Or going without eating for entire days and still finding time to exercise/work and what not. I am very mindful of the things I eat, I’ve gone out to restaurants with friends and only had water. While it’s awkward I don’t mind not eating even if I am hungry especially if it’s not ideal. I don’t view people as tools for the sake of my physical needs or pleasure. I can be selfish and self centered for sure, but not out of needing to satisfy physical needs. The 3V view of hierarchy didn’t make sense to me. My view of hierarchy is either non existent or very simple. Growing up I didn’t see adults or my parents as above me but In my eyes me and my parents were equals. The same in the workplace. This isn’t really out of spite or rebellion but this mentality has been perceived or LEAD TO spite and rebellion. I do see people as beneath me but again not out of spite. This vaguely sounds like the 1V view but it’s not a very conscious or neurotic need of mine to be “on top” or dominate others, I just don’t see it any other way. I dont feel a need to acquire titles of leadership or authority to affirm my position as a ruling entity, I just don’t really doubt it. I do push people to my ideals, really only when they show interest, I don’t bug people with my advice. It doesn’t always serve me to dictate what others do. But people do ask, if I had a penny for every time someone told me how discipline I am I’d have a lot of pennies. So much so that people begin to ask for my input. I’m not even necessarily in exceptional model level shape, it’s the willpower and discipline that people take notice of.
that being said it still seems like I’m missing something. I’d appreciate input. neither one seems to fully fit. SLE is about the only thing I am certain of but i also see ILE as an alternativ.
